dorothy l. sayers and five friends who founded a writing group in 1912 at college oxford. sayers and her classmates entered oxford at a time when women could receive an education but not degrees, but in october of 1920, they became some of the first women to fully graduate. these women pushed the boundaries in other ways as well, working to forward women's rights in reproduction, the arts and clear family making. looking to overcome the extremely restrictive sexism of the time, the women of the mutual admiration society are still an inspiration to us today and we can follow their example as we work to a more equal society. and here to tell us more about them is the author.
