>>as of the north bay covering the possible power outages reyna harvey is in the east bay were parts are actually closed because of red flag warnings but first let's start with meteorologist john schreiber who staying on top of all the warnings for us this morning, john. >>yeah guys didn't want to talk about this again i don't think anybody wanted to hear about it again high fire danger after such a historic fire season already and this is the way we're going to be closing out the week were already under red flag warnings as you can see there is no existence, a marine layer anywhere across the bay, it is crystal clear as offshore winds begin to kick up pushing any chance of fog are moist air. well offshore red flag warnings as i mentioned are already in effect for upper elevations of the santa cruz mountains all of the inland east bay and almost all of the north bay until you had a right to the immediate coastline. now these will be in effect from friday this or wednesday this morning through friday morning at 11:00am winds gusting as high as 45 miles per hour which is the additional

the north bay mountains were under this red flag warning now the east bay hills tonight into the east bay, interior valleys also along the san mateo coast. that's also been added look to high winds. you see all of that low humidity. a lot of dry grass and brush across the east bay does not make for a good scenario fires or going to be started in any capacity, so officials are saying the very cautious as you're out of you and the family are barbecue you guys are cooking outdoors be careful. also if you need to use power equipment or other heat sources, including maybe some idle cars that are around the house that you want to work on the careful because of that night that fire can spread quickly, you know all the dry vegetation and when now the national weather service has issued that went by warning that starts tonight at 10 and last until friday. so hopefully it's just a warning. we don't see any fires breaking out now reporting here to read that harvey kron 4 news, thanks for the update. reyna. >>let's get to the other big story nearly 7,000 pg e customers across the bay now bracing

all across the north bay. this paired with dry humidity the hot temperatures that we do have and of course the strong winds results in that high fire danger and after such a devastating season so far please be very mindful as you step outside to your activities as we do venture this territory. temperatures right now are in the 60's for most of us pittsburgh at 64 oakland-alameda hayward all sharing 63 while a few 50's in petaluma and saint helene at the start the morning by the time we work our way into the afternoon daytime highs will rise well into the upper 80's to low 90's along the bay and a warmer upper 90 to mid-nineties for inland areas and even warmer tomorrow for some of our bayside cities along with those winds i've got the details all still to come back to you this. >>well now to our top story and more on our top story this morning it's a bad combination of the high winds and the dry hot weather that will likely mean power shut-offs tonight all across the bay area. yeah napa county one of the areas

flag warnings do still remain for much of the north bay as well as the inland east bay, upper elevations of the santa cruz mountains in there too winds will continue to gust into a range of 30 to 45 miles per hour, especially in the north bay. we're actually seeing that right now vacaville calistoga in sonoma have been seeing winds throughout the morning gusting well into that 30 mile per hour range, pretty consistently, those peak, wind gusts even more than that danville also on the breezier side right now 27 mile per hour winds. breezy in pockets across the rest of the bay area too winds remain consistent throughout the morning we're continuing to see power shut-offs for portions of the north bay due to those winds low humidity and the heat by the time we work towards 07:30am this morning calistoga sonoma vacaville still in the midst of some of those stronger winds. we briefly back or higher wind speeds early this afternoon before picking up yet again on into the evening tonight into early tomorrow. then we officially see things coming down and staying calm for the weekend after that p

that you see all the purple showing up in the north bay to the east bay even along the coastline. the santa cruz mountains and incredible gusts. you see those 3040 miles an hour. if you believe this computer model we could actually see some 50 mile an hour gusts, maybe even in san francisco as we head into our monday. so certainly some scary whether someone got to watch very very closely we're going to see this happen to as high pressure sits out here in the pacific we get this frontal system's a roll over the top of that ridge, all of a sudden high pressure tries to build in behind it and that's when we start to see these periods of gusty winds. it's going to play out. you sometimes see this well into the season, but usually get the rain and then we don't worry about it right we're still looking for some of those raindrops of course and drought conditions continuing severe around most of the bay area see covered in the dark brown there that's all this of area and then the extreme as you get in the red into fairfield napa sonoma county extreme drought conditions exist there. other

all year long happening right now in the bay area for the north bay, it is underway right now through 4 o'clock monday morning. and for the east bay, it will arrive by around midnight through 8 o'clock in the morning for the rest of the bay area shortly after midnight through mid morning at 9 o'clock so we're starting to notice the change in wind direction out of the north and east textbook example of those offshore winds with future wind gusts overnight so elevated fire danger concern stream lea critical fire danger conditions, not just for hills, but also for valleys as well justine and dam and future wind gusts will show that when the red flag warning expires for the bay area early monday morning. we're still going to have that red flag warning in effect for the north bay mountains and east bay hills that has been extended as we mentioned through tuesday evening and relative humidity out there right now already in the single digits little to no moisture already in the valleys of the north bay because of those double digit, northerly wind speeds out there and that is going to contin

for the north bay. ll the areas highlighted in red because of the gusty off shore winds and low relative humidity and extreme fire danger. then we have that fire weather watch which will eventually turn into a red flag warning. that is in effect from 10:00 p.m., wednesday to 7:00 a.m. on friday for all of our bay area hills. the higher elevations. diablo range and santas are mountains. that second burst of off shore wind looks like a stronger wind event for us. that ridge of high pressure in control as we look to the rest of the week. the dry and gusty winds up in the hills and higher elevations over the next several days. pinpointing the north bay. looking at foot cast we will see the winds pick up through the afternoon. catching a bit of a break for wednesday morning and then again that second round returns by wednesday even. we will watch relative humidity values drop significantly as we head through the week. down to the single digits and the teens. a big concern for us. the daytime highs for the sou

leaders in the north bay have their eyes helping the homeless make it in the bay. sonoma county leaders are looking to transform a hotel into affordable housing for the homeless. the county has now received nearly $11 million from the state to buy hotel azura located on college and mendocino avenues in santa rosa. the goal is to curb homelessness during the pandemic. several neighbors have tried to block the sale of the hotel and now have a case pending with the state. similar programs are already moving forward in other cities like san jose, milpitas and pittsburg. >>> well, the city of angels may be a little sleepy this morning. >> they partied late into the night as the team won its first nba championship in ten years. it's got to be so hard, though. we're not supposed to be gathering. you can see a lot of folks who were celebrating were gathered near the staples center. they're not really adhering to that advice to keep social distance. not a lot of masks there in the crowd either. police do say that things were mostly calm. >>> as for the game it wasn't much of
