ukiah has seen trace amounts in the last hour. locally here, a lot of moisture in the clouds.e of this is really reaching the ground except north of us around lake and encino counties. drought monitor, it is updated every thursday. we have minor improvement to talk about in the past week around the state. looking at going from 45% to 44% in the lowest category. 28% to 25% as of today. some minor improvements and from 2% in the third category to .82 %. we are doing better around the state. still drought free and this rain coming in tomorrow is a one and done deal. we don't have to worry about it impacting the weekend travel and the we can holiday. temperatures in the 50's and 60's right now. today, we got up into the upper 60's in places like san jose. light showers arrive later tonight. wet and breezy for the morning drive. dry and much warmer for easter weekend. on our storm impact scale, it is a light to briefly moderate rain expected. it is going to be breezy with the highest totals in the north bay. tonight, you notice showers around the north bay as we head toward 5:00 a.

thursday at 11:30 ukiah, santa rosa. most of your thursday will be dry. we're going to get an increase in cloud cover. you'll notice it's a lot more scattered. rainfall totals, the highest north of the golden gate bridge, areas south of the golden gate bridge, a couple hundredths to a tenth of an inch. san francisco, san rafael, we remain in that quarter and over an inch. hourly wind gusts expected to kick up. once the cold front moves through around 2:30, you'll notice the winds 19, 20-plus miles an hour. if you have plans to head to the sierra, although it will not be much in the way of snow, thursday night into friday you may encounter some issues out on the roads. we'll see a mix of rain and snow. a couple inches in the higher sierra. also the wind factor so check the travel conditions before heading out, just to play it safe. your seven-day forecast into early friday morning. keep the activity nice and light through saturday morning. easter morning, temperatures will warm up thanks to high pressure. that's going to bump san francisco into the 60s. an

for santa rosa, you are looking at numbers that will make it to 84 and it will be 88 in ukiah. a little bit of a breeze as we get into the afternoon. watch right there, 20 to 25 mile an hour winds, rushing across the city. even though the majority of the bay is undergoing a significant warm-up, we have to contrast that with the fact that right along the water and in the city, there is a 15 to 20 mile-an-hour break that will make it feel kind of cool. that is the seven-day forecast for san francisco and oakland, after hitting 80 degrees in oakland friday, you are cooling down to the low 60s by the time we get into monday and tuesday. north bay and south bay bellies really show the warm-up from 90 in san jose by thursday but you go down to the mid-sixties by early next week. not quite the transition here. and when we look at the inlet east bay, same story, low 90s for thursday, cooling down to 69 degrees by the time we get to today. of course the beaches aren't going to change much. you will just continue to do mid-sixties for a while and then you have a cool down into the mid 50

maybe a speckle or two closer to ukiah. it stays clear into our tuesday forecast. here we go into tuesday evening, a similar set up for wednesday. we are starting the week mild, sunny, and windy. winds will start kicking up not today but tomorrow. winds are light with an onshore flow. it gets breezy into the afternoon. once we wake up tomorrow, it will be different. gianna will be busy in the traffic center. tomorrow afternoon is when the winds kick up more with close to 30 miles an hour expected along the peninsula. last week i showed you this graphic. the temperature outlook for six to ten days. we are in the time frame and are above average as i mentioned. today once again, a beautiful sunny afternoon, expecting upper 70s in inland areas, low 60s along the coast with upper 50s near pacifica and half moon bay. quite the spread, we are starting to head into seasons where we see quite the difference. during winter months we were around the upper 50s and 60s together hand in hand, east bay, north bay, even the peninsula. now we are starting to see that spread and to

we do have a few sprinkles up to the north right around santa rosa, ukiah. not all of this is hitting the ground, but some residual showers you will notice along the north coast and around the sierra, northern portion of the mountains and the sierra nevada. in the last 24 hours, yes, we had a cold front come through. last night, late last night into this morning, we did see showers around the bay area that dampened the ground, but it was just a quick mover, and the amounts were like, just as we expected. here are some of the totals. trace of an inch in oakland. .07 in san jose. at about point 09i think napa airport, so just enough to sprinkle your heart a little bit. -- sprinkle your yard a little bit. this onshore breeze certainly played a role in keeping our temperatures down today, once again below average for this time of year. at 7:00 tonight, we will keep it on the breezy side. toward tomorrow morning, the wind will back off and then pick right back up again going into the afternoon and evening. the strongest wind will be right here on the coast, but i

it will be 91 in ukiah. in terms of how this plays out, differently for other parts of the bay if you are near the water, watch the onshore wind cannot today. the wind speeds will pick up as we get into the afternoon and he will see it right there. now we are looking at 20-25 mile-per-hour winds that will come across the city. that is how you have a bit of a breeze. in the seven-day forecast, we will hold on to the warm through saturday. oakland is going to 80. you will be at 79 by sunday. look at the difference from sunday into monday. you will go down to 60 and there is a small chance for rain on tuesday and wednesday. we will get more seven days in and take a look at the north bay and south bay and the numbers hold around 90 for the next few days. by saturday and sunday it is noticeably somewhat cooler in the north bay. you get into the chance of rain early next week. tuesday and wednesday. 20% chance of rain . the inland east bay valleys will experience numbers near 90 from now into saturday, technically
