and night, a weatherfront bringing outbreaks of rain here, in towards parts of wales and towards cumbriad of rain from around sort of liverpool to london as we start the day on thursday. so to thursday. and once again it is unsettled. we've got that broad area of low pressure out to our west, bringing weather fronts and rain our way, and winds just beginning to strengthen on its southern flank as well. so through thursday, we've got the overnight rain pushing towards the north—east and then becoming confined to the north—east of england, eastern scotland as well, where it will be cloudy. elsewhere, through much of the midlands, east anglia and in towards wales, drier with some sunshine. hefty downpours likely, though, through parts of the south—east of england. and that low pressure still with us on friday with further weather fronts, further outbreaks of rain. in between them there will be some brighter skies. but that wet weather unwelcome, certainly in the areas that we've had so much flooding in recent days. so through the course of friday, you can see we've got showery outbreaks of

a beautiful picture from the keswick area, a particularly cold start in cumbria, minus four recordedghland, aberdeenshire up with showers around for western scotland. overnight, that zone of rain is going to push northwards across orkney and shetland, rain at times, otherwise a dry night with clear skies, turning cold again, temperatures in towns and cities getting down into a low single figures, but in the countryside, cold enough once again for a nip of frost. tomorrow, high pressure dominates, for most another dry day. across western areas, more in the way of high cloud, quite thick cloud as well, so bright or hazy sunny spells likely to come through at times, central and eastern parts of scotland and england having the best of the sunshine, but there are likely to be some showers, and a few showers at times for orkney and shetland. for tuesday, mist and fog patches to start the day, there will be some rain moving into parts of south—west england and southern wales towards the end of the day, temperatures starting to come up a little bit. and then for the middle part of the week,
