started arriving this morning at the coliseum for the last ever a's baseball game in oakland, many of them tailgated before walking through the turnstile one last time, marking 57 years of oakland athletics baseball. this will be their final chance to show their affection, vent their anger, or sit in the sadness of the a's moving out of town. many lifelong fans are looking back on the time they spent at the coliseum. emotions are running high and that will continue even after the last out. today, many say the a's have provided nearly six decades of memories they'll never forget 56 years i've been coming here. >> my parents took me to the very first ball game here in april 7th. it's like your first date. april 17th, 1968, 150 for a bleacher seat. then at today's game, fans will get to take home a commemorative ticket. >> in the first 25,000, fans will get a replica of the oakland coliseum. now we have team coverage of today's final game in oakland. joe fonzi has been covering the team, of course, for decades. we'll have a look back at some of the key memories he has from their time in oakland. first, though

he and business owners in and around jack london square say oakland didn't consult the community before making this plan. their concerned housing the homeless at jack london inn will drive away business. the hotel has housed homeless people nightly since the pandemic. they say they're willing to work with oakland to find other locations. >> building a better bay area san jose mayor matt mehan unveiled the location of the city's first planned safe sleeping site. it's located on east taylor street near coyote creek and watson park. the location was selected from eight potential sites. officials say if it continues to be a suitable space, it would open in early 2025. >> the goal is to get people into a managed environment with basic services, give them an opportunity to start to turn their lives around and in the meantime, ban camping elsewhere and start to really get a handle on this problem and reduce the trash. the fires, the noise, the crime. frankly, just all of these impacts that we see from the unmanaged tent encampments across the city. >> the city council budget allocates money fo
