this is abc 7 news. police officer sentenced to six years in prison today for shooting and killing an unarmed mentally ill man the officer claimed he feared the man was going to run him over today. the judge said that didn't mean he deserved to die abc 7 news reporter curry has reaction. remade contra costa county courthouse has andrew hall is sentenced to six years for killing latimer arboleda. unreasonable and excessive hall shot are belated nine times following a slow speed police chase back in 2018. he was only convicted for a deadly weapon charge his manslaughter charge was met with the hung jury. we prayed and hope for this day. we pray that he would get jail time and he did following the sentencing the family spoke while surrounded by advocates for justice reform. they are pleased with the sentencing despite hall not getting the full punishment hall faced 17 years in prison for the weapons charge, but was only sentenced to six years. thank you for all who have prayed. we've been praying and living
