i have asked our aviation expert, captain john cox who is a retired airbus a-320 pilot to look at theaphs and he has done that. he says it is unlikely he believes that this is the wreckage of malaysia 370, which as you may recall was a boeing 777. he thinks this may in fact be the tail from a plane, a plane that went down in 2009 which killed all but one of 153 people on board. a plane going from yemen to the camoros islands. it crashed in june of 2009. this wreckage had a lot of shells on it suggesting it had been in the water for some time. john says listen he doesn't see any slats on the plane. he also says that's a very big clue. it's not an air foil that does both high speeds and low speeds. ooengs he thinks this is the tail section of an airbus a-310, unlikely to be a 777, one of the biggest passenger transport planes in the sky. really that's all we know right now. this is on a french island in the indian ocean. this wreckage washing ashore. and the initial read from our experts is unlikely to be malaysia 370. >> that does it for this edition of "news nation." i'm tamron hall.
