we've been following it from the air, now we join allie rasmus who is there on the ground. allie, what can you tell us? >> reporter: well, pam, it appears firefighters are now getting a handle on this fire. if you look behind us, this is the building we're talking about. this is the kappa sigma fraternity near the san jose state university campus. and you can see that there are no longer these big orange flames shooting from the roof of the building. there are three area ladders pointing their water hoses directly onto the building. we saw a little bit of smoke a short time ago. let's show you what it looks like live right now from overhead in news chopper 2. there is a lot of damage to this building, but you can see the flames for the most part seem to have been put out, and at this point they're kind of shooting water on some of those hot spots and making sure nothing flares up again. now, there were 75 firefighters working this fire at one point. san jose fire department had to call for mutual aid from santa clarita because this -- santaclara, you can see from the picture

allie rasmus has just spoken to the bay area woman who originally filed the lawsuit and joins us live from oakland with her reaction. >> reporter: well, theer to -- well, tori, the woman said she is disappointed but she's not giving up. the woman she had represented, 3400 women across the country, claiming they were saturday to workplace discrimination because of their gender. this class-action lawsuit could have affected 1 million female employees. it all started ten years ago with this woman. betty dukes worked as a greeter at walmart. she and other female walmart employees filed the suit against walmart in 2001. duke's name is the first name listed in the suit. over the past decade, walmart has tried to block the suit from going forward. and today, walmart finally gone. walmart said because the suit came from many different stores, regions, states and managerrers that hired them, there -- managers, -- they ruled that way many of the women involved said they will continue their fight. although they won't be able to be in a class-action lawsuit, they will sue in smaller groups. >> bu

ktvu's allie rasmus has the details on this violent incident in what is usually a very quiet community. allie. >> reporter: well, pam, this is where that stabbing happened. this is the car wash where we're at. it's on a major thoroughfare. right next to this car wash is an apartment building. there were some residents in this building who contacted police last night to report hearing some sort of fight or dispute going on between a group of men in the car wash parking lot. now that fight ended with two people stabbed and seriously wounded. the stabbing happened around 9:00 last night. ambulances arrived at the scene and rushed two victims to local hospitals. they were both in critical condition when they arrived. meanwhile at the crime scene police roped off the area. they started to collect evidence and begin to search for suspects. witnesses reported seeing two men running from the car wash parking lot. shortly after that stabbing happened. right now police don't have a description of those suspects. but we have tried to reach some of the overnight sergeants with walnut creek police
