amber alert we told you about yesterday. police ended up killing the kidnapping suspect and rescuing that girl. she is the daughter of the suspect's ex-girlfriend. officers had tracked truong lee into an apartment complex. he appeared in a window with the girl, as they approached, and fired several shots. >> he was acting like he was hiding behind the apartment. guns were drawn and, you know, but that's their job. they have to protect and serve. >> police say a specially trained hostage rescue team entered the apartment from the other side. the suspect fired more rounds. lee was then shot and killed. the girl was not hit and she was reunited with her family. no officers were injured either. >>> a man in his 90s has come forward to say that he started the huge fire in reno, but he says it was an accident. according to reno's fire chief, the man says he improperly disposed of fireplace ashes. the fire was 65% contained as of last night, but crews expected the overnight rains to give them some help and they expect full containment soon. a total of 29 homes have been destroyed. 10,000 people were forced to evacuate. >> fast, as they say, get out of here. >> 5 minutes. he kept push
