this is going to be an issue for you above the anclote river for at least the next week or so. skytower radar, no showers now, but off shore here, associated from an outflow boundary of storms that was out over the gulf making its way east and because of t showers have a pretty good chance of making their way onto the shore. downtown st. pete, more showers headed in, towards very, ven, ten, 15 minute downpour on this. not expecting a lot on this. more substantial rain, sitting county. this may give half an inch to three quarters of an inch of rain as it moves to the north and east. temperatures didn't get up that high, 75 for low this morning, other, 81 in bradenton, 70 in arcadia, 77 up in brooksville, dew points in the mid 70s. so yeah it's going to be a pretty muggy night into the day tomorrow. satellite and radar, you see the cluster of storms, this is all pushing towards coast and that is what we're seeing right now. it has its origination back in the gulf. as it heads inland, i don't expect it to blow up into a rain event but a sign of how much moisture is in the atmosphe

tropical storm warning from anclote river. you have pass unty. you wouldn't think with a minimal hurricane, you would have a storm surge like this but the water just funnels into this area and the way it's coming in, you may see 10 to 12 feet, believe it or not. obviously in citrus county, maybe four feet or so and then lester -- lesser amounts, two to four feet, in and around tampa bay. here are the tides. but wherever you live closest to, just get an idea when the high tide is going to be this afternoon and for tomorrow morning because we're going to have, i think, two, maybe three cycles of high tides that are going to be above normal before they eventually drop back again. so overall running one to three feet above normal. the greater storm surges in areas to the north. and really the impact of the storm will be greater the further north you go. so as the day moves along, increasing wind and some squalls, heaviest to the north. 82 degrees. we're looking at rain chances to actually drop. i do want to show you the seven-day forecast. you know,

another one headed for anclote right now. and that shower will work its way on shore. as we get into early afternoon hours, we're going to see more in the way of these showers down in the coast and eventually they today. here's hurricane matthew. i know what you're thinking looks like you're moving southwest. it is trying to round the base of this big ridge sitting to top of it. and at the same time it's still being sheered. still wind sheer going on in the storm. that is not stopping it from intensifying. that's kind of a scary thing. when wind sheer dies down expected to do over the weekend. there's going to be nothing to stop this sto major hurricane if it's not already there. it will get there. that's going to pose a huge problem in the next few days. here's the forecast path for the storm. 3, two by the way means that's category storm. 3 major hurricane. you can see how it becomes a major hurricane. stay that is weight right into monday morning. where it will be positioned just to the east of jamaica. and then eventually, over eastern cuba and bahamas. set up for
