andrea flores is outside that nightclub. it's on morrison road near kentucky. >> reporter: dpd says the suspect is still on the loose as they continue to investigate what led up to this shooting that eventually led police on a wild chase earlier this morning. we know it started just before 2:00 a.m. when police say two men were robbed at gunpoint here at stone nightclub. one man was shot and seriously hurt. the shooter then took off in red camaro belonging to one of those victims. officers chased the suspect down i-25 and across county lines, reaching dangerous speeds all the way to castle rock. the shooter then turned around and drove back toward denver. that's when police called off the chase. they eventually found that camaro in centennial at an apartment complex. nearby residents say the shooting isn't that surprising. >> i was asleep in my bedroom when all of a sudden i heard a because there's always trouble and i don't want to get shot either. >> reporter: this club has seen its fair share of dangerous activity in rece
