that minivan chased after the suv up annapolis road to the mcdonald's. police say the suv and minivan ended up here at this mcdonald's on 450 and the capital plaza mall. although it's not clear exactly what happened, the suv, minivan and a third vehicle collided in the drive-thru. the car and drive-thru window caught fire. >> at this time we're not sure what the suspect's intentions were going through the drive- thru. i don't know if it was to evade capture but unfortunately he ended up colliding with the building and causing damage. >> reporter: the carjacking suspect and one other person were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. the mcdonald's had to be evacuated and workers waited outside during the investigation. the mcdonald's is closed and it's not clear when it will reopen. charges are pending against the suspect. nikki burr design, wusa9-- >> nikki burdine, wusa9. >> we're still waiting for police to release the name of that carjacking suspect. >>> $10.10 is not enough. that was the message from a protest from federal contract
