alex savidge joins us live from the antioch marina where the scary episode ended. >> reporter: good morninglier also here in antioch. last night, he grew more bold, snatching the 7-year-old girl at gunpoint right in front of her mother. ultimately, she was found inside a car with the accused kidnapper here in the parking lot of the antioch marina. now, we are no longer using the victim's name, because it's unclear what may have happened to her while she was missing. this morning, 43-year-old david douglas is behind bars, accused of kidnapping the little girl from right outside of her home last night. police say he followed the victim and her mother home from a nearby wal-mart, where they went for a shopping trip. this happened at about 8:00. investigators say douglas grabbed the girl, threatened her mother with a rifle, then drove off with her. police pulled surveillance video from the store and they were able to get license plates on that getaway car. an amber alert was issued for a tan toyota camry. several hours later, a woman spotted a car with that similar description parked at the ant

alert in five counties, and after about three hours, police say natalie was found safe in the antioch marina. inside the tan toyota camry the suspect was driving. he was taken into custody. he's identified as 43-year-old david alan douglas. >> the mother attempted to stop the male from abducting her daughter, and when she approached him, the male produced what's been described as a rifle and the mom stopped. he was able to force the child into the car and then fled the scene. >> according to police natalie had no apparent injuries and was promptly reunited with her family. police are continuing to investigate the abduction. >>> there is now an agreement that enabled the family of jahi mcmath to move her out of children's hospital oakland. a flurry of legal proceedings played out on friday. the end result is that the family can move jahi who has been declared brain dead as long as her mother takes full responsibility for her care. but a county judge ruled that he will not force children's hospital oakland to insert feeding and breathing tubes before her transfer. the family is hoping to do th

tonight's fire was across the water from the about -- antioch marina. it's a seemingly never ending fire season. emergency money to fight these fires is running out. we have live team coverage tonight. chase, how much money are we talking about here? >> reporter: cal fire says it's costing nearly $4 million a month to continue to battle these wildfires like the one that happened just this afternoon. and the problem is that cal fire is down to only about 11% of their emergency fund left for the year. by the way, that year for them still has 5 1/2 more months to go. this is also the time of year when firefighters and their equipment are supposed to be getting a rest. born as just a 10-foot wide brush fire, flames quickly spanned 50 acres, forcing evacuations and swallowing a building whole. but take note of this very cal fire helicopter. this time of year, this chopper would normally be on the ground getting repaired. >> all these hours we're flying aircraft are just going to have an impact on the backside come spring or summer. >> reporter: which means c
