we are getting the identity of one of the suspects of that belgium police raid thursday night in the town of verviers. two suspects opened fire on police and killed in a gun battle. a third man arrested at the time. his defense attorney is identifying him as marwan abali. he is being charged with participation in a terror organization with possession of explosives and weapons and with armed rebellion. the defense attorney insists that his client is innocent of any kind of terrorism charges. he says that the man was actually arrested and was in the apartment that was raided by police thursday night only because he traveled there to deliver a pair of shoes. he says that his client this abali, the suspect, has no criminal record and had been working as a prison -- as a security guard. the man hails from the brussels neighborhood. we were there yesterday. that is a neighbor that has very high unemployment rate. we talked to the mayor of the neighborhood and she said that police had to beef up security around government buildings there and beef up security for the police themselves. recall
