this is the issue right now for the berkeley curve. the one alert is because of this overturned semi truck. you're down to two lanes past the flares. the activity there cleaning up some sort of spill. no major injuries, but this is a major impact only right here at the berkeley curve. folks able to get to the bay bridge without much delay. and in fact, it's only backed up to about powell because traffic is so light, that green showing how wet the roadways are around the bay, though. and over on the peninsula side, the second of two issues, the tree blocks west 92 completely. so you're forced off at hillsdale boulevard. you can swoop around eventually, get back onto deanza, or ralston will keep you clear of that and get you back over to 280 that is westbound heading from 101 to 280. the rest of the bay just wet roads. be careful. back to you. all rig, mike, thank you. well, back to that breaking news this morning. flights taking off again for american airlines. this is after the airline lifted the ground sppage on christmas eve today in

i saw a lot of slowing at the berkeley curve checked it out. of sources, nothing reported at or near that part of the maze. we do still see the slowing on the berkeley curve. it may just be the buildup. perhaps those metering lights are a little slower, but there's no problem, so maybe they can loosen them up a little bit because everything seems to be flowing across that bridge just fine. the build is down the east shore freeway, westbound 80 from richmond to the toll plaza itself. and right here, look at that. more slowing for southbound 680. so the volume is there for contra costa county coming down out of concord, pleasant hill and down toward the walnut creek interchange over here, i saw some slowing south 880 right around the coliseum area. whatever was going on and cleared from the sensors. and it's also not been visible on this portion of the nimitz. so we're going to continue to move on where we see a little bit of slowing south of there. and also the build for west 92 across the san mateo bridge, a couple of incidents in foster city,

morning from our rooftop camera, looking down toward the tail lights, making their way around the berkeley curvebridge toll plaza, where we continue with light traffic volume on friday. of course, it was friday, but we didn't see metering lights on until 6 a.m. and no backup form until 15 minutes after that. we're looking over here to light, but with slick roadways, so do use caution through the area. we already had one crash that cleared about 430 in the morning, and now a little bit of a build getting into the city on that side, the western side of our map, we're looking at the fog through san francisco and north all the way up through novato and continuing toward petaluma. we have now creeping across the delta highway for the fog blending in over here for contra costa county. so keep that in mind. but no slowing shows up on highway four. highway 37 just barely shows any brake tapping right now. coming out of vallejo for the westbound commute. walnut creek interchange all clear. so is the maze looking ahead toward the city? of course, we will have the warriors playing at chase center tonight,

mike, you saw something at the berkeley curve.ere really bunching up at the curve here. this is west 80 down the east shore freeway over toward the bay bridge. it's smoothed out now. visibility is okay here, but you do see a few clouds around the bay and you need some reaction time. so slow those speeds to allow for that. here at the bay bridge toll plaza, we already see the backups starting to form. the metering lights were not registered on as far as the caltrans kohler as far as the chp blotter goes, but we see the backup forming. it's a pretty big burst of traffic coming off the 880 overcrossing as well. the big factor aside from that backup is that look at the clouds, the highlighted yellow here, north bay throughout contra costa county and across the delta. that's where there's going to be lower visibility. our road weather index takes that weather data. remember it translates to the conditions on the roads. look at this all the way down the peninsula and down through the south bay. all of silicon valley has that yellow high
