this area we have outlined in red for berks county stretching from central berks to eastern berks until 5:30. this cell can maintain its strength and continuing to move off to the east southerly jog there at 30 miles an hour and fit holds together the national weather service will expand that warning if they think it will spread into an additional counties. so there could be some concern as we look toward montgomery county as a cell, makes its way off to thee and southe right now. it did make that jog, we have heaviest portion of the cell right overhead of the reading area so you need to be taking safe shelter in and around reading where we see bright red color. i will zoom back out, a little mixed click. this is heaviest portion area of most concern, area where we are seeing that rotation being depicted so we could be dealing with the tornado on the ground. we have had reports of the down trees and power lines in berks county from this particular severe thunderstorm national weather service is continuing as they just issued a statement they are continuing the warning until 5:30 so they

this is in berks county. the timing takes it to 6:53 and if it maintains its intensity, if it maintains the circulation, they would continue the torpid warnings. if for some reason the circumstance. stops on the radar, then they might cancel the tornado warning or just change it into a severe thunderstorm warning. they are also locking for what are called ground troops. so as we get into a more p populated area, you'd expect somebody would be seeing this thing. in today's world you get people taking pictures. >> i'm running the radar and this gives people an idea of the direction and how they are actually popping up and filling in so quickly. they are not dwiminishing. they are intensifying. a lot of people on the beaches. that's going to be a big concern a little bit later on. we still have that tornado warning up to the north. it has peeled off. reading is on the edge of it. but something that we're watching pretty closely. so far erika martin has been monitoring for damage reports. >> this is moving at 30

low 90s for area like doylestown and lansdale, upper 80s to 90 this berks county. 93 this trenton, 91he jersey shore and in delaware, wilmington at 93 today with thunderstorm icons popping up across the man. why? because when they roll through tonight, they are not hissing anybody, they are rolling across the entire region. here is a look at the future feels like temperatures as we go from morning into afternoon. 98 philadelphia, 94 in doylestown and 96 pottstown. this is at 4:30. but notice the stark color difference, cell lyellow to red. watch that move through. when the storm move in, temperatures will plummet and we should break that heat wave finally by sunday meaning we will not make to the 90s. but this is the longest heat wave we've seen so far this year so still the first alert for the dangerous heat. now let's talk the second part of the first alert which is the severe storm threat. so we get rid of the storms tha. at 2:00, we'll have a mix of clouds and sun that is like billing a pot of water. sooner or later those bubbles may start to pop. and moving through about 5:30, lo

now, notice that the light green and deep green over lehigh valley, berks county, down into the suburbs. this is just rain. but the heavy rain is wrapping right through southern delaware and along the jersey shore extending in to parts of south jersey. this is exactly what we were expecting to happen and where we were expecting the flood concerns to really hit. interesting to note, we now have this little dry wedge ever air pushing through, that will kill off some of the rain over parts of philadelphia and ensouth jersey. northern hoof still going to get hit. when you have the red colors, that is the heaviest rain moving through and it stretches from lewis beach up to cape may and that will be heading up to the northeast. so it will drive right along the jersey shore. so areas like wear town and burlington county still looking at a very steady rain. and these are areas that have already reported more than 2 inches of rain. so anything can start leading to flash flooding. these green boxes all flood reports are reported in contain may and atlantic county. a good spread here and this is w

storm scan three showing us patchy areas of rain toward berks county, allentown. have steady more widespread rain across parts of the dover and now some of the rainfall is filling in central and southern delaware. we have been dealing with the rain across northern delaware, new castle county where we have had reports of flooding. rain still coming down, light in intensity, that is good news but still add together rainfall in kent county particularly sussex county, delaware as we have thunderstorm activity that is rolling its way in, and delaware beaches, running indoors and keeping an eye on the severe thunderstorm that is slowly working its waye, so it could potentially impact sea ford as we head in the next 45 minutes. as far as jersey shore is concerned we have a band of showers working its way northward, ocean city, margate city seeing light rain, same case with somers point. we have a break in center city philadelphia and suburbs. we had that rain coming down for several hours, and new drying out, but we still have patchy areas, of light to moderate rainfall
