bernadette woods is tracking a system at the coast that could turn into a named storm. >> we had some drizzle this morning, some sun this afternoon. take a look around the area. particularly now east to northeast of the baltimore metro. some stuff moving in from cecil county. a few areas here north of the city around the western county up toward glen rock. we're talking very minor stuff. most areas will stay dry. but there may be some fog forming during the overnight. then they stick into the overnight hours before we get another warm up. bernadette has a look at the first look at perhaps the tropics this season, bernadette. >> it's hard to believe. the season doesn't start till june 1st, but the national hurricane center is monitoring a system just off the coastline here. now it doesn't have the full tropical characteristics. but it's being honored by the national hurricane center and it could become a depression or a storm over the next 24 to 48 hours. if it does become a storm, it'll get the name alex. one thing it'll do is impact our surf as we head into the memorial day weekend.
