it was labeled with the biden-harris campaign logo. one of the vehicles steered into and hit a vehicle driven by volunteers following behind the bus. that whole scary episode happened on a stretch of i-35 between san antonio and austin. it passes right through comal county. some of the supporters who tried to run the biden-harris bus off the road were from new braun phils, texas. they were part of what they called the new braunfels trump train. a couple of weeks later the headquarters of the harris county democratic party were vandalized, spray painted. the door was smashed and it was because of that attack that the travis county democrats installed a new security system at their headquarters which is how we got this footage. you may remember we covered this incident at the time last fall. this was the early hours of september 29th last year. a man was caught on that new security video system breaking the glass door of the headquarters for the travis county, texas, democratic party in austin. he dropped in what appeared to be a molotov

gounder, epidemiologist and infectious disease analyst at bellevue hospital, a former member of the biden/harris covid advisory board. celine, thank you so much for coming back on the show. as we just mentioned, you were a biden transition adviser. from your vantage point, what has gone wrong with the testing process on joe biden's watch, from the federal level and what continues to be the problem? >> i think the problem here, it's not a partisan issue. it's really an american trait where we want these biomedical quick fixes, these silver bullets. and i think vaccines have been seen as such, that they would bring an end to the pandemic very quickly. i think what was underestimated was that there would be a lot of resistance in certain quarters to getting vaccinated. we are still just over 60% fully vaccinated in this country. and until you reach much higher vaccination rates, you really do need to layer other interventions. just like in a forest fire, it's not just about spraying water. you also have to be clearing brush and so on that might be in the path of the fire. similarly here in a pandem
