bob redell is live outside the gilroy walmart where the suv was stolen and bob, as a dog lover and i know so many are, this is one of those stories that makes you sad. >> reporter: it is very heartbreaking. good morning to you, peggy. those two men that we're about to show you, they are persons of interest according to police. not only in the theft of the suv from this parking lot here and walmart but also in the death of the dog. the dog did end up passing away. this is the surveillance camera image of the two men police are looking for. they appear to be in their 20s or 30s, maybe a little older, hard to tell. both have facial hair, one in the foreground has a goatee, the other a goatee or beard. investigators believe they are connected with the theft of this suv a week and a half ago from this walmart. in the back seat was a 15-year-old dog keiko who was a life long companion to michael mcvey. mike mcvey spent four days looking for the dog thinking that the thieves would have let her go. unfortunately no such luck on the fourth day he received the devastating news from police that
