let's check in with bryan callahan right now, on live drive. what are you seeing on your way down to the san bernardino county? >> traffic is not too bad -- not too much of an issue, trying to gather as much as we can while we're on the road, the forest service in the last 10 minutes provided an update on the fire. 10:30 this morning. two firefighters have suffered minor injuries in the fire. fire imminent threat to rail traffic, railroads in that area as well as homes. firefighters in the initial attack phase on this fire. they've already assigned 500 people to work this fire. right now they're saying their main concerns is the continued hot weather and the winds in this area. we can tell in this area that there are lots of gusty winds, as we've been heading down the road, as we're trying to make our way to this fire. as we've seen in the live pictures from abc7, it is burning in heavy brush, thick greenery that can burn for a long time there. firefighters are still in the initial attack phase. 500 firefighters already assigned to the fire, ex

tonight.. 13 action news reporter bryan callahan has been doing the math and joins us live to explain where all the money from the room tax currently goes. bryan. the easiest way to understand this tax is to say that if you are staying in a one hundred dollar room... you will actually pay 113 dollars under what sands is asking is for an extra 88 cents be added onto that number to cover the stadium costs. think of the room tax a pie... in 2015.. that pie was made up of $606 million dollars... and all of that money has to be used somewhere. education gets the largest piece of the pie at 39 percent... which was equal to $234 million dollars in 2015. the remaining piece was municipalities.. so $83 million dollars was divided between clark county... and all of the cities inside the county. and 75 million dollars were used for road construction. ----- las vegas sands... which wants to build a $1.9 billion dollar stadium to attract the raiders is asking to do is increase the size of the pie. the company is asking the state to tack an extra g of a percent onto the room tax... which currently
