another car was heading north on north calvert street. they actually both then collided with a third car on the side of the road. i spoke to the woman in that car. her boyfriend had stopped the car and gotten out to get her something to eat at the convenience store. the 7-11. and shortly after he got out, he heard a big crash and realized that the cars had crashed into her vehicle. she is okay, not injured, but police will speak with her. she believe that is the accord that was heading north on calvert street ran the light and ran into michael phelps' vehicle, going east. police told us that the they don't believe alcohol was involved in the crash and neither michael phelps, driving the suv, or a female, driving the accord. the woman was the only person with significant injuries. she was taken to a local hospital. not believed to be serious. michael phelps walked away from the crash after police spoke to him about what happened here tonight. once again, michael phelps, the olympic champion swimmer, involved in a car crash in mount vernon.
