what have you learn. >> reporter: very violent morning outside of a very busy area in center city. take a look at 7-eleven right by city hall at corner of 13th and market streets. police source is telling me that the worker inside was stabbed in the head and the neck. this all happened around 6:30 this morning when a man walked into this store, demanded cigarettes and then for some reason started arguing with the man, hopped over the counter charging at the man and stabbed him again at least two times, once in the right side of the head and once in the right side of the neck. i can tell thaw victim is in stable condition at hahnemann hospital but that suspect is still at large. police have been inside reviewing surveillance video. they are getting ready to clear the scene right now but again, this victim is at hahnemann hospital right now recovering from several stab wounds. meantime the suspect whom police do not know and have not identified at this point is still at large but they still have surveillance video and reviewing those photos to track him down. this is a developing sto

nbc 10 investigative reporter george spencer live in center city. some pretty big reward money on the table for information leading to an arrest. >> reporter: that's right. those federal investigators announcing that significant reward this afternoon and the facts that they do now have significant leads in this case. they are confident that this arsonist is someone with an axe to grind, a resident of that building who has now set seven different fires there. nbc 10's cameras were on the scene just last night outside the sterling apartments on jfk boulevard for the most recent of those fires. that build cigarette a renovated luxury building with 1,000 residents. one bedroom apartments there start at $2,000 a month. atv investigators say this string of arsons back in mid-july. all fires were set in hallways and other common areas between the 5th and 9th floors. there's a $10,000 reward for information. >> any fire whether it's small, medium, large, it doesn't make a difference, anybody who intentionally tries to set a fire, especially in a large resid

chestnut hill and center city now are getting hamered. northeast philly just about to get it within minutes. and it's going to cross the delaware river. so cherry hill around 11:30. washington at 11:40. pem ber ton 11:46. you can see the heavy rain and thunderstorms -- just a portion of delaware right near the pennsylvania border. just east of willing ton. getting spared some of the worst of this. but now we're going into new jersey now, township just about to get hit. these are the damage reports at least so far. these things with the trees down. that indicates obviously some wind damage. this is some hail, this is strong gusty wind. we had a good bit of it in the lee high valley and berk county. the areas we were expecting the worst weather to occur. that's where it did occur. now as we go through the next couple hours. we have more rain coming through, it eventually goes down towards the shore. but as you can see nowhere near as strong as it is now. we could still see a little bit of left over rain or showers early in the morning. but
