it's 42 at chicago but 54 at des moines.e feel there for the warm-up going on to the west of us. look how much of the country shivered this morning. we had a low of 31 at o'hare. went down to 24 at sugar grove. but there is tropical storm tomas. winds up to 60 miles an hour. this was christened tropical storm today. in that space of time it's organized to 60 mile-per-hour winds. they're liking to issue hurricane warnings for the track. that track is a five drink track an average of a whole group of models. but it takes it over the highest heat content waters of caribbean. where you want a big storm in three or four days. the warm up for us tomorrow will be short lived. we'll have readings about 20 degrees cooler from last week. that is reinforced there by another shot that comes down the length of the lake and could set up lake effect rain or sprinkles on thursday. but next weekend, see the warmth that comes back in the area? and indeed, we have an average of seven additional 60-degree days and two additional 70- degree days
