chicago police are looking for the man who attacked and sexually assaulted a 95-year- old woman on the city's far south side. police say tuesday night, the woman answered her doorbell for someone she thought she recognized. the man forced his way inside her home on the 11-hundred block of west 110th place. he then beat the woman and sexually assaulted her. she was taken to the hospital with bruises and cuts. no arrests have been made. a nurse was killed in a hospital parking lot, when a snowplow backed into her. diane shogren was a registered nurse at "advocate good shepherd hospital" in barrington. she was walking through the hospital parking lot early yesterday morning, when she was hit by a truck that was plowing. she was pronounced dead soon after. officials say the driver works for the hospital and that the truck's lights and "backup alarm" were working. >> we're focused on caring for the family who is a grieving. we are here to provide compassionate care. >>officials say it was snowing heavily when the accident happened. an autopsy on shogren will be performed later this morning.

chicago police are questioning the boy's parents it hopes of filling in some of the blanks. police responded to a call in the south shore community this was at 740 last night. officers found the boy about 1 years old with what they described as life- threatening birds. burns to the forehead chest and back. he remains at the university of chicago children's hospital. investigators are trying to determine what caused the injuries. with the burned in the home or was this the result of a criminal act? the fire department says the burns were not the result of a fire. we also called the cfs to see if the agency had any contact with anyone at that address. we're still waiting for a response. >> fire that broke out in a home in morgan park. it happened just after midnight in the 13-hundred block of west 112th place. authorities say three adults and two children now have to find some where else to live. no word on what caused the fire. more than half a million people are without power this morning from louisiana to connecticut. the storm paralyzed the east coast and the south east. 16
