let me go back to clint van zandt. clint, let's talk a lilt bit about hiding in plain sight. we've been talking about this with terrorists in boston. now you have three men who were able, as we just heard from andrew, to keep this a secret, to go about their daily lives while they apparently had three women and for the last six years a child locked away in a home. can you even start to get into the psychology of that, profile that? and it's not just a single individual. we're talking about three brothers here. >> well, you know, a lot of it would be speculation, and unfortunately my career has shown me some awful dark people as far as psychologically speaking. and, chris, every time i think i've seen the worst somebody steps up and says let me show you something equally as bad. this situation may well be. we don't know how these women were held. as we discussed previously, were they locked in rooms? were they chained to beds? were they held down in the basement? what we do know from andrew's reporting and from others out of that area, no one saw these women come and go out of

let me go now to clint van zandt and follow what clint is good at, missing patterns. the manipulation of these women, their friendships to try to give them comfort to, give them a free ride, something right up front, and then, of course, to be able to get them into that house and keep them there for a decade each and keep them in their separate ways alive, healthy, and useful to him and whatever his purposes were. by the way, why would he want three? would he want more? what's this tell you about his profile? >> yeah. three is an interesting number. and again, chris, realize he grabbed the first victim in '02, '03, '04. you're telling me this guy batted a thousand that every time he went for a victim he was able to get it. there were no attempts where, as you suggest, young women would have refused, said no thank you, i know better to get into a stranger's car, and what about all of these other missing persons? i would not be quick to close a book on this guy whatsoever. but, you know, you've got to look at logistically for him, once he's got one victim and why in the

i want to ask clint, clint, what type of personality is this that he's kidnapped these young ladies, one of which is -- this team is going out to search for her. he brings family members and joins the team. i mean, what kind of person is this? >> well, you know, we hear of the old proverbial dr. jeckyl and mr. hyde, this guy with mr. hyde most of the time. we see where kidnappers involve themselves in a search for a number of reasons. number one, they want to know what's going on. they want to know if police are getting close to them. number two, they want to put the shroud of innocence over them. obviously i'm above suspicion. number three, al, there's this sadistic idea of being involved in something like this where everyone is out there working and yet you're the only one that knows the real truth, the real secret. this guy is about as low as they go. >> now, let me ask you, khalid, was there any follow up after he initially came and took the flyers and promised the parents that were going to help you all find the young lady? did he consistently stay in touch with the team, or do

that's what we're hearing from the police. >> and that's something i want to ask clint about. is this discrepancy between what we're hearing from the community and from law enforcement. neighbors say they sauce suspicious activities taking place at the house. there was? cause for concern or at least alarm. police are saying there was not linking the community sort of -- what the community was saying to actual police reports. how much is that sort of going to be combed over in the coming days and weeks as we try to make sense of this thing? >> well, it's going to have to be, one of at least three different things. number one, they could have been neighboring who simply waved down police cars or squad cars, told officers. they checked real quick and went back on patrol, had to go on another call, something like that, and didn't make any type of official entry. the police somehow may not have recorded that, or it could be, in all honesty, what i've seen before, people who wish they would have done something, who saw something, who heard something, who wished they would have heard

joining me now clint van zant. we have heard that the investigators who are going to talk to these three victims say that they are not going to do any deep questioning. what will they talk about? how will they approach this? >> well, a number of things. obviously the first thing is the well being of the victims themselves. anything they need you want to work to reunite them with their families, with with their loved ones. we realize that amanda, the first young woman out said i am free. freedom means something to different people. she is going to have to figure out what that means for herself and for the other two. what the investigatorers need right now are the elements of the crime. let's say kidnapping. you were taken by force and held over this period of time, enough information so they can successfully charge these one to three brothers who are suspects in this case. realize they have 4,000 days worth of history they have to capture. that is going to take a while. >> one of the things we just heard is they wan

now let me bring in former fbi profiler clint van zandt.0 pieces of evidence as you heard melvin report. one of the items they're at is this alleged suicide letter from ariel castro. look, the biggest piece of evidence of the three women who walked out of that home and that baby. the other evidence is a part of putting together what happened. but the reality is this story will come from amanda, michelle and gina. >> reporter: it really will. that suicide note was dated 2004. we realize the three kidnappings we know of was 2002, 2003 and 2004. you know, what is of significance right now is that the community is talking about the one missing girl who was missing from that same neighborhood. well, at this very moment, there are at least 36 women and girls, ages 18 and younger, that are missing from that cleveland area that are unaccounted for. so this case, it may be some people refer to it as a slam-dunk for the three victims right now. i think authorities have got to look at a lot of other missing person cases and see if their primary suspec
