good morning, dave. school districts across the state got the results of the test scores months ago, but this week is the first time the state parchment of education in california, is publicly releasing them statewide. the results aren't good. the first standardized tests taken by students since the covid 19 pandemic sod decline in reading and math scores now when it comes to reading and writing english language arts, less than half of california students, 47% met the state standards. that's a 4% drop. since 2019. these are the scores for math. the decline more significant, only one out of every three california students is proficient in math with just 33% meeting state standards. that's a 7% drop compared to tests taken before the pandemic. now students statewide take these tests in 3rd, 8th and 11th grade. similar national test scores released earlier this week showed that since the pandemic kids in all 50 states saw declines in their reading and math test scores. in some cases, california's drop wasn'
