so the cops are hitting mayor de blasio right in the pocketbook., many believe the police are wrong in imucketting a slowdown. others say not all cops are involved. that's not true. a 92% drop indicates the entire department is on board. cops on the street see this as a life/death issue. much like the antipolice protesters see the staten island cases as life/death. the police believe mayor de blasio is putting their lives in danger by embracing the likes of al sharpton and antipolice provoke provocateur and always has been. if he is going to put news danger we are going to retaliate. clear protest against the mayor who has alienated the 35,000 member department. police commissioner william bratton caught in the middle of this. good cop honest man who has improved policing in los angeles and here in new york city. bratton could be fired at any time if he defies de blasio he is walking a tight rope. it's clear the commissioner does not have the ear of his own department. police officers are sending bratton a message as well that message is we are not

today, uniformed men saluted as new york city mayor bill de blasio entered the funeral home with police commissioner bill bratton. but two weeks ago when de blasio arrived at the hospital where the officers were pronounced dead, dozens of men and women in blue turned their backs on the mayor. it happened again last saturday with hundreds participating when de blasio spoke at the funeral for ramos.
