derrick ward is live there. what's the latest? >> good morning. there's not a lot of new information here. let me direct you to the scene here. we're at north capitol and t, on the northwest side of north capitol street. right behind you see st. martin's catholic church. they were allowing congregates to go for the 9:00 a.m. service. some of the late arrivals headed there now. they've compressed the crime scene to the area around this vehicle. we're told the shooting actually happened here. it was about 1:40 this morning. take a look at the scene earlier this morning. police got the call for a shooting here. we're told that three males inside this vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital. we don't know their ages or conditions. this is in the bloomingdale section of d.c. one of those areas that is enjoying somewhat of a renaissance. that is, you know, providing some shock to neighbors as they awaken this morning. nobody seems to have heard anything except the police response about the time it happened. now there's a tow truck out of our came

derrick ward is live with more on the investigation now. derrick? >> reporter: well, the investigation does continue. as you can see police have cleared the scene. you might be able to say this about anyone who survives a shooting, that they are particularly lucky to be alive, but that holds true in this case, especially we understand that the victim was shot in the street in this intersection and that the shooter may have substitute over her and delivered some of those shots. she was shot multiple times. police believe that that shooter is no older than 14 years old. according to police, it began with a flurry of text messages among members of two groups of teens, one group of males and the other a group of females. by earl morning those two groups converged here in this silver spring neighborhood. >> i walk by dog through here every morning and it's peaceful, it's quiet. >> reporter: but that gave way to something else just before 5:30. one resident said there were voices what sounded like female. they couldn't tell if it was an argument but a sho

news 4 derrick ward near the wiehle reston east line this morning. >> reporter: we have, take a look one there in the station as we speak. but if you look closely, it's marked as an orange line train and that's what they're doing so that people won't be confused. these test trains will be running between the wiehle reston east station and largo town center every six minutes during rush hour, 12 to 20 minutes on the off peak hours. you will be able to ride them betweens east falls church and largo town center the simulation trains will look like orange line rains. but you will see some differences. more about where the trains are than what they say. so headed towards largo town center may see a train with an only line designation which may be new. the when the system opens that will turn to silver line. riders will see increases in service, ability 37 to 40% of riders will see shorter wait times for trains but another 6% will see their wait times increase just as the crazy calculus of trains scheduled and room and things like that. that wait time increase will only be two to three min
