right now, we're in downtown oakland and it's pretty nice, no wind and no rain. that powerful storm is over but some people are still dealing with the repercussions. pg&e dealt with a number of power outages all over the bay area. oakland hit especially hard. about 15,000 customers lost power during yesterday's storm, including the oakland police department and the fire station at 16th street and martin luther king, jr. way. >> there were periods where we had a total power failure in our dispatch center. we have backup systems that are supposed to keep that from happening but obviously we had a failure in those backup systems today. and in about an hour's time with the help of the city engineer he was able to get our systems back up and we're fully functional now. >> reporter: power outages also caused bart to close to station in oakland leading to systemwide delays. the wet weather also triggered a close call in sonoma county. a large oak treetopled on to a home in sebastopol. four people were home including the woman staying in the bedroom. sonoma county fire e
