dustin wright was remembered in his hometown of lyons, georgia.y friends and family in a funeral over the weekend. the sergeant was one of four soldiers killed in the attack but there's still remains questions of just what happened. cnn's barbara starr joins me live now from the pentagon here. barbara, what's the deal here? >> reporter: well, john, the people of his hometown very publicly, very openly turning out to pay their respects to this army sergeant, one of four killed in nyjer in an incident under full investigation of the military and trying to determine how it was that this advise and assist team led by green berets went to the place in niger in west africa and did not know that they were walking in to an ambush of some 50 isis fighters. the town turning out to pay their respects to this sergeant and i just want to take a moment and tell everybody what an extraordinary military family sergeant wright came from. apparently 200 years of military service in this family. they believe their family records show he was the first to be killed in

we as a nation were fortunate to have men like jeremiah. 29-year-old army staff sergeant dustin wright i spoke to yesterday. his family has a 205-year history in the military. staff sergeant wright followed his dad, his mom, and his brother will all in the military and will says dustin didn't want accolades or praise or awards. he did his job fighting for this country because it's what he loved, and it's what he was born to do. and finally, a man who is getting a lot of attention and certainly needs some. 25-year-old army sergeant david t. johnson of miami gardens, florida. he was a special forces engineer from georgia. sergeant johnson's body arrived in miami yesterday. the sergeant's american flag-draped casket was wheeled out of the plane by six other american soldiers at miami international airport. his wife, myesha, was escorted to the casket along with her six-year-old daughter to greet the casket of her husband. this heart-wrenching image of a woman bent over her husband's casket. the little girl was wearing a pink dress and holding her mom's hand. she kissed the casket before w
