really, the east bay. it's all about you for the next couple of hours while we are starting to see it. lighten up in terms of intensity in the north bay. let me get you more looks at this in our microclimate forecast. and we're going to put a track on all of it. and you'll see not only the rainfall but the wind anywhere from ten to about 35mph coming out of the south. even some gusts up to about 50. we're going to continue to deal with these gusts tonight. so we could have some trees coming down, maybe even some landslide issues where the ground is just so saturated. at this point, as we take you into the current view close up, you'll see this flash flood warning continues here in parts of alameda and contra costa counties, primarily around richmond, berkeley, oakland, down through hayward. there's just a lot of water on the roadways. you may encounter here as you're traveling on 880. so just take it slow tonight. make sure there's plenty of distance between you and that car in front of you. as we put a tra

the east bay oakland, 6:00. further south, 1230 in the morning down towards pescadero and those rivers still rising for another day or so. the russian river at guerneville. this is the best news we've been able to pass along the north bay. just some very light drizzle out there. but look at the east bay from 580. we're looking still at those heavy downpours towards danville, san ramon and finally union city. you're getting some heavy rain down towards 680. and this continues to sink to the south and east from pescadero. los gatos and over in santa cruz. but you can see walnut creek there. now getting the heavy rain. danville as well. so we will have the winds accompanying this front as it pushes through. now this is about another two hours or so, but as it pushes south, the winds will lighten up. the rainfall lightens up, but still, looking at 25 to 30 mile an hour winds upper elevations still over 45 miles an hour in the north bay. but we'll look for the winds to subside overnight. you won't be hearing those ra

it is hosing that moisture right into the east bay and the south bay, where the worst of it is right now. so we're getting you into street level radar. santa clara, san jose, you will notice right around 880 it is coming down pretty good. and really when you look at some of these rainfall rates, they're pretty intense, about a half an inch per hour. and now that the ground is becoming saturated in some areas, we're seeing those problems or the rain is running off in places like the south bay. here's the east bay, 680 dublin, dublin boulevard, 580. it is pouring san francisco. we've seen so many issues just trying to navigate around along the peninsula and into the city. we are seeing some moderate rain right now, santa cruz mountains, it is dumping and i do want to kind of widen this picture here from the peninsula all the way to the north bay. we're still seeing the rain. it's not like it's done. we do have a flash flood warning for parts of the east bay, and that is in effect until this evening at 745. so watch out. a number of flood alerts, from advisories to watches to warnings.

so you see, it's even colder in our inland east bay. so you get the idea. atures are cold all around the bay. 34. santa rosa 37 sonoma, calistoga. dropping quickly to 33. so looking at the coldest temperatures through 8:00. and then by 9:00, beginning to moderate, it's going to take a while to warm up today. so this morning we have the cold and freeze warning. even though it's in the north bay, it's cold in the east bay as well. and then today the rough surf continues with mainly sunny conditions and looking at a few spotty light showers for your sunday and as we check out the surf right now, 9 to 10ft with our high surf advisory until 11:00. so the breakers can be much higher than that. and we're looking at pretty dangerous conditions here in our coastal flood advisory takes us through monday afternoon. so anywhere from those low lying areas around the bay shore, certainly looking at the possibility of some minor flooding. so. 1043 this morning, highest tide, right at about seven feet. so certainly some dangerous conditions out there. if you're hiking or wa

now, let's head to the east bay latest vote count. in the recall of alameda county district attorney pamela price still has almost 65%. voters supporting the recall. if those numbers hold alameda county's board of supervisors will have to appoint replacement. the president of the board says they be looking for a seasoned and experienced prosecutor. >> so knowledgeable, approach, professional and someone that has the trust of the public. >> committee appointed by the board with select applicants who then would be publicly interview during a supervisors meeting. whoever is appointed will have to run for election in 2026, what are their will serve out the final 2 years of prices term. no action was taken against an alameda councilmember police say was found drunk in long beach last month. councilmember trisha harris spencer was in southern california for a convention which was captured on body camera video. you can see sitting on the sidewalk struggling answer questions. the alameda city council debated whether to formally admonish here

still ahead, a recent report shows a concerning number of unsolved crimes in one east bay city. why? police say the report could actually be false. and we'll take you outside atop our roof camera for a look at the bay bridge this morning. you see, it's a little morning at 637. unsolved mysteries. when it comes to crime, that's certainly not what you want to hear. but that's the reality in oakland. most crimes remain unsolved by police. abc seven news obtained the most recent clearance numbers within bay area police departments in oakland was at the bottom of the list. abc seven news building a better bay area reporter, lyanne melendez, has the story. >> just by looking at the clearance numbers, it appears that oakland police haven't been able to get a handle on solving crimes and making arrests in 2023. oakland pd reported that only 3% of their violent crimes resulted in an arrest. when it came to property crimes, the number was 0.1%. compare that to san francisco and san jose, which reported that 28% and 35% of their violent crimes resulted in an arrest and for property crimes,

parts of the east bay and approaching san jose at 11:00. y in the afternoon, we're seeing it clearing in the north bay, but it will still be raining in the east bay to the peninsula, and then eventually clearing out later this evening. and then by tonight, the temperatures will be dropping as that cold front moves in. as far as how much rain we could see, it could be a pretty good soaking here with about a half inch of rain possible from oakland to mill valley. and then for san francisco, about 3/10 of an inch of rainfall and a quarter inch for much of the rest of the east bay, as well as the south bay. so for morgan hill timing, it out for you, it's 48 degrees right now. it will be mostly cloudy. the rain starts at 10:00 and gets heavier by noon and continuing into the early afternoon, with our high only up to about 62 degrees. so a lot of these numbers well below what's normal for this time of year. it's going to be a cool start to the weekend. even though it's dry tomorrow. it's only slightly warmer in santa rosa. we're looking at a high

when will it be your turn in the east bay and south bay? john has the answers.n updated look at the radar. things are definitely picking up for a lot of the bay in particular right here in marine county, which is the focus of a lot of that energy working its way off the pacific at this point. rainfall is definitely picking up and becoming more widespread for the north bay at this point, especially that southern tier, the north bay are in southern sonoma and napa counties over to solano county starting to see some more shower activity on the peninsula, including in san francisco in just west of san mateo. all this energy gradually transitions further and further south through the day to day. and with that, some areas that haven't seen much rain will start to pick up more and more of it. winds are absolutely still a factor here as well. and of course, flooding is still a huge risk, especially as we see the likelihood of 2 to 3 additional inches of rain in coastal parts of marin county and along the russian river, which is under a flood warning along with santa ros

we saw that live shot of the freeways here in the east bay. people are moving right now because i think kids kind of got out of school today and that's it. everyone is on the move and you know there's going to be a lot of traffic tomorrow. weather is going to be cooperating. we have sunny, bright conditions moving in with this area of high pressure, keeping the storm track off to the north. there's a system to the south, but i don't see any way we get rainfall that it looks like it's going to be staying over the pacific and just kind of falling apart. let's move it into that microclimate forecast. we'll talk more about your weather here as we roll through tomorrow, and we'll start it off on the chilly side. temperatures in the 40s. a very, very light wind out of the northeast at three. and a chance we could get into just a little bit of isolated fog. but overall, i think lots of sunshine that's going to continue right into the afternoon. daytime highs low to mid 60s across the inland valleys. we could be looking at a better forecast after what

rainfall has been concentrated on the peninsula east bay and south bay. and even then we are seeing some manageable amounts here. no risk of flooding relief from this san francisco downtown is actually looking at a pocket of heavier rain that will only last for a few minutes as we do drop down to san mateo down towards sunnyvale, some moderate rainfall there, south bay also pretty active. as for the east bay, mostly on the lighter side of things, we do have some heavier pockets just north of lafayette between lafayette and martinez. right now. as for winds, not as breezy as last week was around. 25 to 30 mile per hour. peak gusts right now. temperature wise, it's 40's to 50's. so it is some cold showers this morning. bundle up. stay dry. it is definitely feeling like winter. now, as for the next several hours will continue to see solid rainfall. rainfall really starts to diminish towards middle of the afternoon. rain wind on 1000 year old enough here. 19 minutes traveling on the bay bridge making you into the city this morning. while the cemetery bridge.

we got lower 50's lighting up the east bay shoreline. ttle cooler inland in the 40's, but that's a recovery from the 30's that we saw last hour up in the north bay here, too, got the 30's. you can see that popping at 51. they're not too bad. all right. back to future cast here. you can see the scattered clouds kind of all day variable. there's that little shot of printing shower aloft might get that on the north bay. if you're lucky it's going up your car. that's about it with that. so then we have the cloud cover overnight. we get to around 10:00am look at this. already clearing out. there's your sunday. not bad clouds come back again. by sunday night and then into monday. there's monday morning for you and that shot of rain. it looks to be favoring the north bay, not widespread. just yes. we got a mention some rain for monday. by that time, the atmosphere will be prepped for it. not yet there. as we take a look at the dewpoints, we'd like to see numbers. more favorable for rain hitting the ground in the 50's. you can see there in the 30

san francisco, the east bay shore. ese are the areas that are seeing flash flooding and will continue until this finally moves out. so another hour or two. the north bay beginning to see a little bit let up. and that is some great news because while the north bay really needs it, we've got the futurecast model here that shows you 7:00 a little bit of light rain over the north bay central bay, and now it is moving to the inner east bay into the south bay. then by eight 9:00, it begins to push out of the bay area, and behind it we have cloudy skies. we have soggy conditions and scattered showers continuing into saturday morning, 7 a.m. and then once we get past that wave, the rest of saturday looks to be dry. and that is a welcome sight, isn't it? rainfall amounts for the rest of today, anywhere from 1 to 2in. still a possibility before it finally moves out of the area. temperature wise, it's been a mild one, upper 50s to low 60s still at this hour. 59 in san francisco with the inner east bay, 59 in walnut creek. and then

portions of the east bay, but pretty widespread rainfall across the north bay. now, if we zoom in a little bit closer on the north bay, you can actually see the core of the atmospheric river is now really bull's eye up in mendocino and lake counties. so ukiah, over to clear lake areas that are really seeing it coming down heavy, those small streams could get very small and very quickly with the rainfall intensity that we're seeing. you head south of santa rosa and it definitely becomes a little bit less intense by the time you reach the peninsula and the east bay shoreline, we do have light to moderate showers. now, winds are still very much factors gusting as high as 40 miles per hour, especially out along the coastline. 50's for current temperatures, oakland, berkeley, san francisco, each sitting in the mid to upper 50's right now. and as far as our afternoon is concerned, we are going to see a comparatively calm. one that rainfall intensity shifts further northward, which means we should see some dry times for most of the bay. tonight, though, the atmospheric

inland east bay 60 at concord 62. livermore down in the south bay. nice and mild 66 will be the high in san jose and in morgan hill and up in the north bay. 64, santa rosa 61 at napa. tonight it will be cold again up in the north bay with high temperatures. high temperatures, low temperatures there dropping into the mid to upper 30s. 37 napa, 35 vallejo. fairfield. only 33. we'll see upper 30s in the inland east bay, but other locations will be not quite so cold with lows in the 40s. and as we look ahead. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so this mild pattern continues tomorrow and gets even milder on sunday, the first day of december, as we'll see highs moving into the mid 60s, mid to upper 60s actually on the bay and inland. that pattern holds until the middle of next week when it gets even warmer. we'll see highs in the upper 60s closing in on the 70 degree mark on wednesday and thursday, both around the bay and in our inland area. so a nice week of almost spring like weather is coming our way. reggie. >> looking forward to it. thanks, sp

upper 60s near the santa clara valley and low 60s in the east bay but one thing that we didn't have yesterdayhead outside today. already up in the north bay we're starting to see light to moderate rain in the forecast with some heavier cells associated in that red color right there. that's stretched over areas like santa rosa and stretched down into petaluma and just past the golden gate bridge we're starting to see some light mist down into the san francisco and that's starting to be the trend for us along the coastline too. timing this out on futurecast now, hour-by-hour, as we head into the afternoon hours today, we are gearing up for some of the bulk of -- the bulk of the storm to really stay north of the golden gate bridge. so if you live near napa, vallejo, stretched all the way over into the marin headlands too. notice the rainfall totals adding up fast. now down into the santa clara valley, there's still a chance that we could see some light to moderate rain in the forecast. but these are a lot more of a spotty shower setup compared to that consistent rain that's like a fire hose just
