let's go to emily turner with alternate routes. >> absolute mess out there. thank you so mh, an you you are bae or ge and i'm g extra half an hour,not more becae justbrid thatkeup. this is the toll plaza. this is because of the metering lights. this is the slow crawl in the wake of that accident. you only have two lanes to cross the bay bridge and if you can see in the background right there, that's the east shore freeway, you're only seeing cars moving in the eastbound direction because in the westbound direction they are hardly moving at all. taking a live look from chopper 5, look at this. this is absolutely miserable for a commute. this is going to be so slow, my suggestion is not to take the bay bridge if you can help it because as a result of this, look how slow those drive times are on the east shore freeway, on 580, on 880, on the bay bridge itself. as a result there is a crash in the backup in the wake of this, westbound 80 at gilman, one lane is blocked as a result of that. but this backup is lasting all the way basically to where it meets 580. i wo
