"action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live at the big board. she's got the overnight details. good morning erin. >> reporter: good morning, tam. chopper six gives you the best perspective on how intense this fire was. flames erupted around 9 o'clock in west chester which is mostly officers but the red cross has told us that there are four apartments and it is assisting one person. now, initially fire officials responded with two alarms but the blaze spread quickly and then that was up to three alarms. now, let's take a look at some ground video. as you can see, there were multiple crews on the ground at the corner of market street and north church street. this is a stubborn fire and it affected multiple buildings. the scene was a block away from the chester county courthouse. it took almost three hours to get it under control. the word from officials was that at 11:50 firefighters finally got a handle on the blaze. fortunately there were no injuries. again, that is largely attributed to the fact that this building is mostly offices and the fire started around 9:00 so there were

erin o'hearn is live at the big board. she's got more. good morning. good morning.s to develop tam and this is 37-year-old rachel dolezal who has seemed to carefully construct a life as a black civil rights activist in the last decade. that world is falling apart following a shocking revelation by her parents that dolezal is actually a white woman who has posed for years as african-american. her parents produced this picture of her as a young girl. you can see with fair skin and straight blond hair. her mother saying she began disguising herself as black after her parents adopted four black children years ago. and dolezal has resigned as president of the local branch of the naacp lost her position as a part time african studies instructor at a local university as well as her job as a freelance newspaper columnist and is a subject of a probe by the ethics commission. she's also filed numerous racial harassment complaints since this recent uproar, though, police say they are suspending investigations into those claims. dolezal initially dismissed the controversy sayin

let's go to erin o'hearn. >> reporter: good morning.t teacher told administrator that is students using cell phones during class was a huge problem and one law intents on fixing himself. the science teacher decided he was together to fight fire with fire by using technology to prevent his students from using it on his watch. so he purchased this jammer. it sort of looks like a walkie-talkie. he figured if he could interfere with their cell phone signal he could help make students more focused. jammers are ill low. using them could bring thousands of dollars if fines and even jail time. it may have affected cell phones around the area because outside of the school is a cell phone tower. the teacher here dean liptak received a five day suspension without pay. he told the school he thought it was perfectly fine for him to use the jammer as long as it wasn't for malicious purposes. students and parents admit cell phone use is a big problem in class but say this was not the solution and the jammer could have impacted the students' safety. >>
