showers down in portions of southern fairfax county over toward south of fairfax and then over toward western loudoun county and to the north of front royal looking at these showers continuing to develop and move to the east. we'll continue to watch those as we make our way through the next couple hours. by early tomorrow morning, most of the shower activity should be out of here. maybe some fog and lower clouds. and then look at what happens around 12:00, lunchtime showers trying to develop and storms as well. some could be on the strong side. right now not anticipating anything severe but i would not be surprised to see some locally heavy downpours and potential for hail and stronger winds. tomorrow afternoon around 3:00 best chance south and east of i-95 toward southern maryland. just about everybody getting in on the chance. not widespread but if you do see a shower, it may be a brief heavy downpour before it moves out. by 9:00 tomorrow night, most of the area on the dry side but potentially more showers back there. typical summer type pattern over the next few days. 70 in washing

fairfax county right now inundated with some rain. heavy rain down towards quantico and woodridge. this is part of a frontal boundary that's moving in ahead of andrea, and it's also going to help andrea move down the coast to our region. this is a frontal boundary i'm talking about, so there is moisture ahead of it. as we move down toward the south, here's where andrea is, and it's going to move right up to the north right to our area by this time tomorrow night. this is the official track now moving at 15 miles an hour. the winds are at 45 miles an hour, but don't let the fact that this is decreased in wind speed let you think that this is going to be less of a storm. for us this was never about winds, this is about the rain. tomorrow the wind speed will be about 45 miles an hour down to the south of norfolk, but this track brings a lot of rain to the northwest side of the storm, and we are going to be looking at the storm maybe well to the north of us by saturday, so by saturday this will be gone. it's already moved out of florida, but take a look at the damage it's already cause
