. >>> a street in gilroy is getting some unwanted attention tonight. robberies just five minutes apart. police don't believe they're connected. george kiriyama is live in gilroy with more. police are looking for more than one suspect? >> reporter: gilroy police say there's significant differences in each robbery, leading them to believe there's two different cases. last night two incidents happened on the same street wind five minutes. oddly enough police say the two ropries happened on a street called the independent order of oddfellows avenue, ioof. here's why investigators believe the cases may be different. the first attack happened at this intersection 10:30 last night. the intersection of ioof and murphy avenue. police say two guys hopped into the back of a taxi and demanded money. the suspects then attacked the cab driver, punching him and trying to choke him from behind. the men were able to get away with cash and they ran south on murphy. five minutes later, feet away, another suspect robbed a man at knife point. investigators saying this susp

we have heavy downpours still coming down from morgan hill to gilroy, santa cruz. you're getting a little bit of a break but heavy rain just started to subside in that neck of the woods and now we're monitoring isolated thunderstorms developing. we're expecting thunderstorms as we head throughout the day. as a result we could see pea-sized hail, gusty winds and brief, heavy downpours. in fact i just spotted this one just to the north of san francisco. that's what we're expecting. the bulk of the moisture has come through from this front. you can see we're mostly dry right now over the greater bay area. we'll continue to see pop-up storms. temperatures will be on the cool side warranting a jacket just about all day long. later on this afternoon when we do get some clearing between about 10:00 and 4:00 p.m., we could get enough warmth for some stronger storms to fire up. so we'll be monitoring that for you right here in the nbc bay area weather center. switching gears, as you can imagine, we have some delays on the roadway with all that wet weather that just came thr

we have 70 in gilroy. santa cruz bordering 80 degrees. this is helping the south bay to warm up. as we head into tomorrow morning, we will find areas of fog mainly at the coastline that will get warming on wednesday. it is in the seven-day forecast where the major warming will take place. we had the onshore flow into san francisco. you will see out of the skyc sky camera network. the clouds have pushed back, but we do expect that to change for tonight with the onshore flow staying persistent. this is the satellite/radar. a lot of this onshore flow looks to stay off the peninsula. the big talk still continues to be the system to the north producing rainfall. we are a couple hundred miles away from getting any kind of rain. we will stay fdry. we will have high pressure building in the next 48 hours. that will bring us a dome of air which summer like with the jump in temperatures starting to arrive by thursday with widespread 70s. then by friday, that is when numbers will climb more. here is the thing. if you suffer from allergies, it will get worse. right now, everyone with moderat
