an inch and a half again of sleet and snow in carrie, and pine hurst a little over an inch. that is some of the reports we have. a couple of things we are watching as we led into tonight. temperatures many are still at or below frozing. these numbers staying below freeze willing do two things. they will keep the roads slushy and/or frozen and they will keep the precipitation coming out of the sky frozen or snowy. behind me are current winds. this is a problem we are going to see continue if not increase into tonight. and there is already plenty of ice on threes -- trees and powerlines. gusts up to 32 miles per hour. that is going to continue to work on those branches and powerlines. at some point, many of them could snap. christine gave us this picture from here in raleigh. just look at the ice hanging from the powerline and the trees. everything starts to sag, and at some point, point and unfortunately they could break on to powerlines knocking power out. trees falling on cars, houses, so again, as we head into tonight, this is going to continue to be a problem. and we are
