janine de la vega is right there talking to the family members and janine de la vega, they say it startedith the scene of an explosion. >> that is what woke them up and they started smelling something, a lot of smoke so they went to investigate and they saw they were already flames in the garage of their house. i want to show you where they are at. this is near fremont boulevard and dakota road and there are fire engines up and down the street. we just came from the house where it is still smoking but the fire has been knocked down and let's go to a picture that the fire department had tweeted earlier this morning, you can see flames were shooting out of the windows which were fully involved when fremont firefighters were involved. this was just before 4:30 and they do confirm it was the garage that was on fire and that's where they believe the fire started. two cars were parked in the driveway and also caught fire and it ended up extending into the attic and the flames also touched the adjacent house. the five people who were living inside a family of four had a friend staying with them,

ktvu janine de la vega has been following this story from moffett field.anine. >> reporter: right now the crew from the 129th rescue wing is getting ready. they know a baby on board a boat greatly needs medical care. the rescuing will help the family. that is in the pacific ocean 900 knot call miles off the coast of mexico. at 8:00 this morning an mc130p aircraft will depart moffett field with the crew with the air national guard to join the rescue mission. another aircraft like it is already out there. last night four of its rescue men broke into the ocean by parachute and boarded the boat. they reported the parents are on board with another subling and their boat does not -- sibling and their boat does not have power. we do have video from a previous mission. they have been well trained and prepared for this mission. they have helped saved the lives for more than 1,000 people. the plan is to have pave hawk helicopters go out to the location. the crews will host the baby into it and take her to a medical facility. the aircraft that is leaving this morning
