janine de la vega is joining us from san jose to talk about this big scheme. janine. >> reporter: we've been talking to some members at this ymca and they knew this was one of the gyms that was hit. one of the thieves distracted a front desk employee. task force noticed a pattern of thefts and realized the thieves were stealing car keys after breaking through the locks. >> they have been breaking into cars in this parking lot. but we've also heard that they come into the gym and they go through break into the lockers and take things out of the lockers. i've mostly heard it being mens lockers. >> reporter: the mercury news is reporting police were able to identify the suspects through surveillance video and they were able to track them down. five cars have been recovered. police say the men arrest red transients. the traffic force is report thely looking for more suspects who are part of this ring. we are going to be reaching out to police if for more details on this case and coming up at 6:30, you'll hear from a victim. pam. >> it will be interesting. all right
