jay korff, abc 7 news. leon: this just in from the district -- a man is in critical condition after a stabbing at 7:00 on f street southeast. there is no word on any arrests. a prince george's county police with feudal information for an officer who was killed in a crash. the service for officer brennan rabain will take place in temple hills, maryland. he will be buried in davidsonville road stop the police are looking for anyone who witnessed the crash. if you have information, please contact the police department. alison: and we have no information about a train derailment in north carolina. there are reports more than 50 people were injured. the train crashed into a tractor-trailer, but stopped on the tracks. witnesses say the truck driver was trying to navigate a turn. the train left charlotte and was due at union station the district this afternoon. none of the injuries are life-threatening. >> we heard the train below its whistle, and within seconds that is when the impact occurred. alison: passengers

jay korff has the story. certainly a disturbing account. jay: it is and the attorney for the alleged victim gave us a new development, a new look at this incident, including one of our reporters was able to look at cell phone video that the attorney says capture the incident. we were not permitted to record the video, but we looked at it. it shows the officer pointing the gun at william cunningham's head and then down his mouth. >> the officer took total control over whether i lived or died, whether i ever got to talk to my wife. jay: he said the emotional trauma of that day in may in his bowie neighborhood still haunts them. >> i don't sleep well at night. jay: sunday, the 36-year-old spoke publicly for the first time since the incident. he was walking home after being dropped off by a cousin. they say that the officer thought that the car that cunningham was in was pulled over a legally and ordered him back into the car. cunningham did not reply, and that is when officer santiago pointed his gun right at cunningham. >> the police officer

jay korff's live with the investigation. jay: what happened -- we spoke to investigator who said what happened is in settling -- unsettling. investigators believe the copilot locked himself while the pilot was likely in the restroom and then programmed the plane to fly into a mountainside, killing all 150 aboard. this development has authorities grambling for a motive. they are delving into his state of mind. >> he had a plan. he knew when the captain left he was going to make his move. he had to actively change the flight management system to direct the aircraft. jay: in general, the industry does a good job of screening pilot and self policing them. >> the type of test most airlines do, to make sure they are hiring the right types of personalities. jay: this may leave some to conclude more should be done. the tons -- the airline says there is a policy where pilots can report the problems of themselves or others without punishment. >> it hadn't been used in this case. the safety nets we are so proud of did not work in this
