julian glover has a look at what we can expect today. >> reporter: good morning. we expect quite the crowd of people to come out here to santa cruz and pay their respects to sergeant damon gutzwiller as the procession will be making its way just behind me at around 7:45 this morning. he is described as a good man, a good police officer who wanted to help people. and that is exactly what he was doing when he was shot and killed on june 6. he was responding to a report of a suspicious van with a aas ambushed gutzwi yr veteran of the sheriff's office was shot and rushed to the hospital where he died. another deputy injured by gunfire is now out of the hospital and back home recovering. the suspect in the shooting steven carrillo who was an active duty u.s. air force sergeant is charged with gutzwiller's murder. he was arraigned in court yesterday. federal agents have revealed carrillo could be connected to an extremist movements, the boogaloo, that believes in a violent up rising or impending civil war. the service for sergeant gutzwiller starts at 10:00 this morning
