back for you. >> thank you, kari. we'll check back in with you. our big story of the day is in the east bay. investigators piecing together a chain of events that led to at least one fremont police officer killing and shooting a suspect last night just before midnight at a 7-eleven on decoto road and fremont boulevard. damian trujillo has been on the scene and just spoke with investigators. what do you know? >> reporter: still a lot of unanswered questions this morning, scott. police cleared the crime scene here about 45 minutes ago. the man suspect was shot and killed at the end of this parking lot behind this walgreens shopping center on decoto and fremont boulevard here in the city of fremont. this is the second of two crime scenes that left one man dead. the first crime scene was at this 7-eleven store just off of highway 880. a clerk would not go on cameras, but he told me a customer pulled a gun on another customer. that's when a police officer with an east bay regional parks pulled up and called for emergency backup. when fremont police arr

let's turn to meteorologist kari hall for more. it's been raining as well. very light mist coming down and really not enough to measure or really help us out as far as adding on to the rainfall totals, but it's also fairly mild. the temperature at 61 degrees. as we take another look at patio, you do see that the visibility is clear, and the we've also been able to see a little bit of sun peeking through the clouds. temperature-wise we're in the low 60s. for most of the bay area, that's the trend throughout the day. we're up to 70 in concord and 68 in san jose while san francisco will be at 61. ht .. talk about when that sun peeks out and a warmup in the hrecast coming up in a few minutes. >> kari, thank you very much. >>> b.a.r.t. is being more cautious in the wake of the recent train robbery that involved dozens of teenagers. you might remember this from last weekend. on saturday night police say 50 teens jumped the gates and forced them to and over their .. ables once they got on the train. last night a lake merritt station agent saw four young fare jumper

let's turn it over to meteorologist kari hall. the rain is returning on sunday which means for many nokes it will be wet weather to and from services. >> a really good idea to move those easter egg hunts up on saturday. that will be the day to get outside because it will be soggy on sunday, especially during the afternoon. as we take a live look outside in san jose, it looks beautiful as you head out there, and we have seen a lot of sun here for also san francisco as we go around the bay area. seeing all of the bright sunshine and temperatures that have been cool to start with starting to warm up as well. a look at woodside. we also see the sun there, but we're also going to start to see the clouds reaching in ahead of the next weather system. it's set to move in on sunday but we'll start to see the clouds as early as tomorrow afternoon, so as we go hour by hour, seeing nothing but clear skies today. tomorrow afternoon, the clouds increase, but the rain holds off. on sunday we'll start to see the rain moving into the north bay as

that's because we're seeing maybe on/off rain, kari? >> scattered showers. that's hot we'll see in the next couple days. not just today, but tomorrow and wednesday. you just have to be prepared for it all, as we will see some breaks in the clouds and for some parts of the bay area, sunshine breaking out. don't expect a lot of it. as we look at santana road, a gorgeous shot. it does show you how fairly dry it is in the south bay, and all nice and quiet this morning. but we have seen some cloudy skies overhead. now, the seven-day forecast is coming up at the bottom of the screen, starting in the south bay. as you will see times of rain in the forecast over the next several days as we get a look at the radar, we see there's some light rain, especially moving into sonoma county, some more of the very light spotty showers in marin county, and san francisco also showing some light rain. but it's not really that heavy. but then as we look at the camera, well, you can barely see anything there. so the fog definitely an issue, and also those cars in front of you, spl
