kris, right now behind me the chp is getting ready to give an update to the media. in fact, they've just started. but we did speak to the chp earlier and they identified the suspect responsible for all of this as 28-year-old alexander zumini and they say he was going 120 miles per hour when he crashed into that minivan and that he admitted he was on meth. we want to take you to some video early this morning. this all started at 3:15 on 280 when chp officers noticed someone driving erratically, weaving lanes, speeding on the freeway, then slowing down almost to a stop. officers followed the bmw onto southbound 101 and tried to get zumini to pull over. when he wouldn't stop the chp says officers started a prsuit on 101. when he took the yerba buena street exit he blew a red light and slammed into the minivan. the driver died and the passenger was taken to the hospital badly hurt. the chp says once zumini stopped on the 101 on-ramp he tried to run away and that is when he revealed this to officers. >> he admitted that prior to driving he had used methamphetamine. and a
