good morning, sam and laura. this woman who owns this store artist style boutique store installed the camera in january. otherwise we may not have any idea who broke into this store here on the 200 block of westportal avenue. it was around 3:30 in the morning two weeks ago. dark like it is right now. police have just released the security camera footage from april 21st. you can see the man wearing a black hat, jacket, and red shirt. walking by, he studies the block, the area around, you can we so he's wearing gloves. he then walks out. looks around the street again before he takes a rock out of his pocket and throws it at the door. nothing breaks so he picks up the rock again. looks around again before throwing the rock at the door. at that point he goesnd starts to kick it in. it's three times until it finally gives way. he ducks under with a duffel bag and you can see in the video that he's messing with the top right corner with necklaces and jewelry. he's in and out in 40 seconds and grabs a tray full of rings
