here's meteorologist lisa argen. and lisa, it looks like it's warming up. >> yeah, it is going to warm up just a little bit today so you'll be able to take it. not a big extreme, but we are looking at an air quality advisory. you can see the yellows there indicating moderate air quality from the east bay or the bay shore there because of the wildfire smoke with all the fires from northern california up through oregon. so keep that in mind. here's a loop of the weekend. the light blue indicates the smoke aloft. and we've seen that the past couple of days. it hasn't been t bad, but it's certainly going to get a little more air out there in the atmosphere as high pressure builds in low 60s here. and temperatures are in the 50s with some haze and fog in the north bay. so that onshore flow of the past couple of days getting us back to our normal regime there with the sea breeze in the afternoon 2 to 5 degrees cooler and the plan then for today the gray skies to start with, cooler numbers. and then as we go through 1:00, we

but we begin with the weather and a welcome back to meteorologist lisa argen. >> good morning.ephanie. good morning, everyone. thank you for that nice warm welcome. it's good to be back. and we're bringing on some warm for this first weekend of august. we have upper level northerly winds and a building area of high pressure that has already put us at 70 degrees in antioch, upper 60s by the delta, mid 60s, san ramon and we're looking at a cool 55 in san francisco. so anywhere from about a degree to eight degrees warmer except at the coast we have that fog. it will be with us to keep temperatures comfortable there and we will have moderate to good air quality today only because by the time we get to tomorrow, another 5 to 10 degrees of warming and some very high upper level smoke, perhaps that's creating more of those hazy conditions. but you can see that we are even brightening up here at the golden gate bridge. so that fog clears temporarily. it comes back and we warm up quickly for around 90, about 1:00 walnut creek, and we'll talk about how many triple digit temperatures we'l

well, if you're thinking about heading out today, let's check in with meteorologist lisa argen, who's tracking the forecast. how's it looking, lisa? >> it's looking pretty good. yesterday, we came in a little bit cooler than expected, but high pressure is building in and the winds are also going to be providing some better air quality as we get into next week. but we still are under that advisory today for our moderate air quality, patchy fog here on the peninsula. but as we look at the sensors here, you'll notice pretty much everybody in the moderate range, that's where we'll stay today. right now with that west wind downtown, some good air quality. the winds will be building offshore. right now, we're looking at visibility in the north bay. a little bit obstructed there. half mile visibility. santa rosa, a quarter mile in napa with some haze. otherwise, temperatures are in the 50s here in our inland valleys. good morning, pleasanton, 56 for you. it's 55 in dublin with 52. lafayette closer to the bay here, temperatures in the low 50s and san carlos checking in at 57 this morning. so
