. >> i am marcus washington. let's get a look of the forecast for you. >>> let me show you this view from emeryville this morning where it's hard to see out there, but the visibility at ground level is not too bad. we are headed back for the upper 70s in oakland. in livermore, 91 degrees, and 81 in san josÉ. this is a repeat of yesterday's forecast. we're keeping it cool near the coast. we'll talk more about what's ahead for the weekend coming up. mike, you have a major crash in contra costa county. >> yeah, happened just about a hour ago. and notice the green sensors, and this is a major portion of your commute, slowing already, vasco. there's a crash and it may be blocking the entire roadway once crews arrive there, and it will be an issue for brentwood and discovery bay. that's one major issue for the roadways, and the other is there's fog in emeryville so it may be tougher to see. >>> we begin with breaking news coming out of thailand this morning. a deadly shooting rampage in a childcare center. it happened

. >> i'm marcus washington. a reminder, you can also watch us live on roku, amazon fire, apple tv, and online. >>> classes resumed this morning for students rocked by a shooting last week at oakland's kings estates campus. the shooting left six people injured. today bay tech charter school resumes classesith an altered schedule for the rest of the week. students resume classes at an off-site location, as nbc bay area's bob redell reports, this comes as police investigate what appears to be yet another deadly shooting. >> reporter: sadly, another person has been murdered in oakland, becoming the 101st homicide victim so far this year, shot and killed over the theft of a catalytic convert. police say the shooting took place early yesterday morning near everett avenue. witnesses say there were at least two suspects. a friend identified the victim as 60-year-old arturo coronado, says he was a father, says he worked for him for over 24 years. he tells us coronado woke up to the sound of people messing with his car. >

. >> i'm marcus washington. we'll get you started with a look at that forecast. before we get to that, we want to start with breaking news for you. a chaotic late-night chase that stretched from oakland to hayward. take a look at this. this is video showing a woman behind the wheel driving the opposite way up some streets. this all started a little before 10:00 last night. police tell us or at least tell our photographer there that that woman also dropped off two passengers on interstate 880. this is near high street, and two were later taken into custody. that chase eventually ended some two hours later in an area of mission boulevard in gretty lane. police say the driver was wanted for stealing a vehicle and taken to the hospital there. no update on her condition. >> breaking in san francisco right now, crews trying to repair a water main that ruptured overnight in the mission district. the break sent a flood of water onto valencia street. fortunately, the flooding caused minimal property damage. a viewer posted video of the flooding at its peak. no timeline fo

i'm marcus washington. we are streaming live on roku, amazon fire, apple tv and online. >> and i'm laura garcia. we have breaking news that happened in the east bay this morning. a crash between two big rigs is blocking all lanes this morning on northbound 680 near the highway 84 on ramp. this is in sunol close to fremont. mike inouye has been tracking everything, the possible impacts for commuters this morning. mike, do you have more on that? >>> absolutely we do. as you said the full freeway closure. let's give folks perspective on where it is. as you expect most of the freeways are completely clear except for one that's completely stopped for traffic. that's northbound at 680 right at 84. folks are forced off the freeway, 680, and moving on to highway 84 moving in toward pleasanton and sunol or to the sunol area. if you're heading over here west of the freeway there's an alternate road that will take you off highway 84 and gets you up the foothill. a big rig slammed into the guardrail early this morning

i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm laura garcia. we'll check that morning commute in a bit. first these temperatures are coming down. >> yeah. it's a cool morning. one of the coldest we've had of the season so far. as we start out with a frost advisory you may want to add an extra layer. as we get a look at where we have the frost advisory, it's even along the coastline. we can see those temperatures dropping all the areas shaded in blue, the santa clara valley, heading into the north bay. we are going to see a cold start to our monday morning. but these temperatures are just a little bit cooler than what we typically see as the wind continues to calm down. we may dip another few degrees but we're down to about 50 in san jose. 56 in martinez. and it's 46 degrees right now in santa rosa and some mid-50s for san francisco. as we get a look at san jose, what to expect, we're at 50 degrees now. we'll hold steady here, even dip another degree or two, and start to warm up with sunshine today especially going to shape up to be a nice one. more on that and what to expect. mike, you

i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm laura garcia. here we go monday. and chillier in the air, too. >> it definitely feels cool out there. even just a few degrees, we feel the difference out there. we are under a frost advisory for the areas shaded in blue including areas that couldn't be scraping frost off the windshield. so far the winds have been kind of breezy and keeping those temperatures up. right now in the low 40s for dublin, it's 44 in santa rosa and it's 54 in san francisco, san jose heading out to 50 degrees. then take a look at the afternoon. a nice recovery as we reach 71 degrees in san jose. 75 in dublin and in martinez as well as santa rosa. we'll take a look at how our temperatures cool off, how much we'll see as we head through the middle of the week. mike, you've been keeping an eye on the commute and the bay bridge is backed up. >> it's a few minutes earlier. typically monday and tuesday seeing much heavier volume than the rest of the week. folks eager to get back to the work schedule, i'm sure. thinking nothing but good thoughts acr
