i'm michelle charlesworth. she treated us with a giant roaster pan of banana pudding. delicious. >> and you brought the chocolate chip cake. >> i did but it pales in comparison. it's all about the banana pudding. you've got the put the calories on so you can stand the 36- degree temperatures. >> happy new year everybody. we're starting off flipping the calendar, really doing a flip with the temperatures too. here over the weekend we had sunshine. we're going to continue with that trend as the sun comes up officially at 7:20 this morning. beautiful skies to look at but the trend has also been slightly warmer over the mid-40s before a blast of cold air. it's 5 degrees colder in places like monticello. right now at the hudson valley we are still at the freezing point or below it but soon everybody gets a taste of the sub-freezing cold. it's surprising because only once beyond what we're about to see have we had freezing temperatures. november 24th we went down to the 32-degree mark in central park, but it looks like it's going to happen again and stay cold for a day or tw
