let's start with that surprise win in minnesota. lot of people did not see that one coming in the runup to super tuesday. how crucial was it, david that we saw senator amy klobuchar drop out monday morning and then endorse joe biden in turning minnesota for the biden camp. >> yeah, hard not to attribute that success to her doing that. and her handing over her support to joe biden on the stage in dallas. so just the night before, he's attributing it to that. you look at the advertisements that his campaign released in minnesota. touting that endorsement. i think it's safe to say it had a huge effect for joe biden. that and the coalescent that you talked about, hugely important for joe biden as he tried to seize on that momentum in south carolina with all of the districts in that state, capitalizing on that as he moved across it's south and to the midwest. it's been cattalytic and has jump-started the campaign. looking at bernie sanders and joe biden, the front-runners here. you heard from the senator from vermont last night looking a

minnesota.bernie sanders finished his sprint to super tuesday with a massive rally here in minnesota. this turned out to be a significant stop for sanders because on the same day he was in this state, the state's senator amy klobuchar announced she was getting out of the race for president and backing one of his rivals, joe biden. now, sanders has for some time been preparing for this moderate wing of the party to coalesce in opposition of his campaign that now seems like it's starting to happen. sanders talked about the moderates coming after him, the establishment as he calls it coming after him. and he says he was prepared. >> it's not just the corporate establishment that's getting nervous, the political establishment is getting nervous. i want to open the door to amy's supporters, to pete's supporters. i know there are political differences but i also know that virtually all of amy's support and pete's support understand that we have got to move toward a government which believes in justice

here's a poll just about a week ago in minnesota.s is what it looked like klobuchar leading the home state. sanders second. warren third. biden in single digits and 15% being the cutoff there. what a difference to make. the delegate threshold. if you had a scenario like this roughly like this, klobuchar to get about 40 delegates out of the state. sanders with 35. biden a goose egg, zero. meaning he'd fall 35 delegates behind bernie sanders there in the national race. now, if with klobuchar dropping out, with biden getting a surge because of south carolina, all that, if biden were to move up here and get, i don't know, 18% -- above 15%, if biden gets above 15% even if sanders wins the state and even if sanders wins by a double digit margin over joe biden it is a net difference between them of probably about 15 to 20. so remember, it was 35-0 on the first scenario. sanders 35, biden 0. on the second one, margin about 15 or 20. theis the difference. it is an issue, an issue for him in minnesota. massachusetts. 11% in the poll this weeke
