smflt sentences in the book are mitchell's sentences. much of it is our taking the facts of mitchell's life and then putting them together but we did all of the interviewing with -- we called all of the -- characters involved. we interviewed dennis. we interviewed the sisters, pam, pam's sisters who are in the book. we interviewed, of course, sister lilian we knew her personally very well, and so we tacked tiewfl these people to put it together. so we put it in mitch's voice baa he didn't write the book it is his story he gave us the facts and then we had to fit it together and his speech and his grammar still -- you be when you're writing a book you have to use a write a certain way. use certain words think about paragraphs and that's not what mitchell is thinking about. but it definitely is his story. this is a story similar from montgomery alabama. >> correct he worked with death prisoners, and he's been very effective and he backed into it also. he didn't necessarily start wanting to do that. but he stumbled into it. and that is corr

mitchell is a very talented man. so he began writing poetry early on just about as silent as conditions about how how small the bed was. he's on a very short bed. six feet long, two feet wide. that really touched me about how hard it was to rest when you're that arch in your own small bed. it's about getting the back of cookies on the weekend, how important it was. his poetry was very primitive, but very touching. when we wrote the book, we put the poems in the book just as he wrote them and we tried to put them in about the time he wrote them and they meant a lot to us. we kept his letters of coors and sister lynn in made a point to keep all of his poems and eventually have them printed and bound in a very informal way to keep them all together. when we wrote the book we went back and looked at those poems and try to pull out the best ones that showed mitch as he was and what he was thinking at the time. >> host: in 1983 we supporter of capital punishment? >> guest: this system in and 83 bert and i differ on a littl

live from mitchell airport deandra corinthios fox6news. brendan dassey's case is one step closer to being back in a courtroom. attorney general brad schimel filed an opening brief in federal court yesterday -- appealing a ruling that overturned dassey's conviction. in august, a federal court ruled dassey has been coerced by investigators into confessing to helping his uncle, at that time, the judge ordered dassey be released unless there was an appeal or retrial. with that appeal now filed -- the 7th circuit court will decide if the ruling stands. we're learning more details about the officer-involved shooting of sylville smith. it's the incident that sparked two nights of violent protests in the sherman park neighborhood. an unsealed search warrant is shedding light on another investigation that was conducted near the scene. police wanted to go through the cell phones found inside the car smith was in... for a drug ve the state d-o-j also says investigators found heroin and cocaine inside the car - enough to make them think it was for dru

amanda today is the first time a task force will meet about the mitchell park domes. the beginning of a series of meetings to decide the future of these iconic milwaukee structures. the domes closed earlier this year afterthey have been a staple in milwaukee since the 1930's. but they closed in on the domes is weak..and has been crumbling off and falling to the ground. the county was concerned about visitor safety. they opened up one at a time this fall after the county put up netting to catch any pieces of concrete. just a temporary solution. the county has about a million and a half dollars for repair..but it will cost about 45 milllion dollars for a full scale repair. controversy came after county 03:46:50 the task force is going to make a recommendation....the county board makes the final decision and hat will happen within a yer year the domes recently got historic preservation status - named one of 11 most endangered places in the united states. the number of people who come here is about a few hundred thousand..and the county says that number has been up since

reporting in waukesha im jp cbs 58 the future of the iconic mitchell park domes is now in the hands of a new task force. it was formed by the milwaukee county board of supervisors. they'll have their first meeting tonight to decide how the domes should move forward. cbs 58's amanda porterfield joins us live from the domes today is the first time a task force will meet about the mitchell park domes. the first step to deciding the future of these iconic milwaukee structures. the domes closed earlier this year afterthey have been a staple in the city since the 1930's. but they closed in february because the concrete on the domes is weak..and has been crumbling off and falling concerned about visitor safety. they opened up one at a time this fall after the county put up netting to catch any pieces of concrete. just a temporary solution. the county has about a million and a half dollars for repair..but it will cost 45 milllion dollars for a full about 45 milllion but it will cost repair..a half dollars for about a million and the county has solution. just a temporary of concrete. catch any
