natalie is standing by at the headlines. hi, natalie. >>> good morning everyone. reports from libya this morning that moammar gadhafi has been killed by rebel forces. earlier this morning libyan fighters drove the last gadhafi holdouts out of his hometown of sirte. gadhafi had been in hiding for months and now a photo has surfaced. we should warn you it is graphic and we have not independently verified this is gadhafi but there is no way to identify the person in the photo yet. the rebels are claiming that this is gadhafi. no confirmation from the white house, pentagon or state department yet. nbc's chief foreign correspondent richard engel joins us now. if these reports are true that gadhafi has been killed, how significant is this for libya? >> it would be very significant. it would end the military phase of the libyan war. now they will have to go on and truly try and build a government. we are also getting some new information. three sources all of them rebel sources are saying that gadhafi has in fact been killed. one of those sources the head of the military
