does he have a new hampshire problem? for 50 years the nomination process has started in iowa and new hampshire. this year the dnc voted to adopt a schedule suggested by president biden making south carolina the first contest on february 3rd and moving new hampshire to february 6th, the same day as nevada. the idea being to better reflect the demographics of the national electorate and presumably to give president biden an advantage. so far new hampshire hasn't agreed and is insisting on going first. in fact, their state law requires that they go seven days before any other primary. remember now in 2020 biden lost both the iowa caucus and new hampshire primary. in new hampshire he finished a distant fifth. and his candidacy looked dead on arrival for a while. then house whip jim clyburn endorsed biden before the south carolina vote which he then won, and several moderate candidates dropped out threw their support biden. that's how he won the nomination. when jim wallace asked clyburn if the move was stacking the deck for

gabe, let's talk about ron desantis, who visits new hampshire today. for that new disney office complex campus, a large complex, were announced two years ago. disney's decision to pull the plug now? >> look, this decision -- or this complex had been pushed back for several years. disney has come back and said, as you mentioned in the introduction, that this is due to the changing business landscape. of course, there's been new leadership changes at disney recently. you cannot ignore the context here. this comes weeks after this ongoing feud between desantis and disney boiled over with the company suing desantis, suing the state of florida. as you said, 2,000 white collar jobs won't be relocating from california to the state of florida. this move had been unpopular among some disney employees. again, this all comes just days before governor desantis is expected to make this presidential announcement, make it official next week. andrea, it's hard to believe that we got here. the governor a few days ago in iowa mentioned -- talking about how ironic that he

the plane landed here in new hampshire just moments ago. trump and a small group of advisers are on their way here to the town hall. and the advisers i've spoken to say he's as prepped as he's going to be. we have to keep in mind that trump is not your traditional candidate. there weren't an extensive amount of preparation that went into this last-minute cram session. however, his advisers are urging him two things. one is to stay on message, talk about policy, the economy, immigration. and, two is to stay measured. as we know, trump can act viscerally when he doesn't like them. they are taking trump out of that conservative media bubble that we've really seen him in for the last five years. and they believe that they have to do this if they are going to win, if trump is going to win. we're watching closely here tonight, it's not just how trump responds but also how this audience responds. these are republican voters. we want to see what it is that they want to know from the former president and how they interact with what he is saying. do

host: that was former president trump speaking at a campaign event in new hampshire. the pool he was referring to was conducted by emerson college. i want to go over some of the results of that poll. one of the questions was about biden, the poll says that the share of democratic voters who think that biden should be the nominee was 65%, that was a decrease from 71% from a february poll. 65% of the voters polled said biden should be the nominee. i will scroll down to this. when presented with other candidates, biden support increased to 70%, kennedy junior , the son of former attorney general was 21% and williamson received 8%. for the republican primary -- this is what trump was referring to -- when put up against other candidates -- potential other candidates, trump received 62% support, ron desantis, the florida governor who has not officially announced, he had a 16% of support. mike pence at 7%, nikki haley at 3%. former governor chris christie 2%, former governor asa hutchinson 2% and about 4% mentioned someone else. recent polling shows biden and trump leading v
